The Mirror Barcelona Hotel

This hotel boasts a prime location for discovering the city of Barcelona. However, it could benefit from some renovations. The furniture appears worn with damaged drawers and aged wall decor. Despite this, the rooms were kept clean and fresh towels were provided daily. Unfortunately, there was a lack of information in the rooms regarding local attractions and their distances. On a positive note, the staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Overall, we had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location and the reception staff were top-notch. However, this is where the positive experience ended. Our ninth floor room was equipped with a spacious balcony, but the interior decor was beyond worn-out. The entire place could use a thorough cleaning or perhaps a new color scheme.

This hotel was an absolute 5-star experience from start to finish. Boasting sleek design and great lighting, the room was well-appointed, clean and inviting. It was a great choice for exploring the city center, with plenty of options for dining nearby. The staff were especially commendable, with every employee providing friendly and hospitable service. Special recognition goes out to Vera, Marina, Diego and Angel for their great service.??.

This accommodation failed to live up to expectations and was not what you would expect from a 4* hotel. The reception was nicely lit and the staff was friendly and helpful. Moving to the room, the corridor resembled a scene from a science fiction movie with its sliding doors and somewhat reminded me of the lower level of the hospital where I work. It was clear the moment we entered the room that it had an unpleasant musty odor. The decor was all white and featured floor to ceiling mirrors, while the faux leather was ripped, scratched, and dilapidated. The sink's water was not cold. Although the room had been superficially cleaned, there were plenty of dust particles around the bed and the TV remote was extremely grimy. The air conditioning also had its issues, not working well during the night. However, the TV in the bathroom was an interesting feature. Investigating the 'pool' left us surprised: it was more like a plunge pool with no ability to swim and a murky green shade of water. The Perspex casing was cracked and in need of some love. The hotel's location wasn't bad, several eateries could be found a few streets away and a thirty-minute walk was enough to reach the centre. I wouldn't stay here again, it requires a major refurbishment to match the price paid.

I stayed here for seven nights in August '23 and I'm now convinced this is my favorite hotel in Barcelona (I've visited the city five times before). The location is terrific and all staff members I encountered were super friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room was beautiful, modern, and the air conditioning was great. I slept very comfortably on the bed and pillows and the terrace was pretty awesome. The structure of the hotel is really cool; much of it is constructed with mirrors, which makes for a unique experience in the elevator and in the rooms. I highly recommend this place - 10/10 - and a special shout out to Diego! (Though every staff person I interacted with deserves a shout out too.)
