The accommodation was basic, but perfect for our short stay. The bed was rather small and not the most comfortable, but we were so drained from sightseeing that we still got a good sleep. The hotel is situated near some nightlife, so be ready for some noise. Our room was at the back so it did not affect us much. We chose to use public transport to get around the city, since the hotel was approximately 25-30 minutes on foot from the center of Barcelona. It was only a 10 minute walk uphill to the nearest metro station. Be aware that the hotel is not in the city center. The staff were friendly. One thing to note was that the lift needs some maintenance. One was out of service and the other was shaky and felt like it might break at any point. I've never been in such a rattly lift!
We really enjoyed our stay at the NH Barcelona Diagonal Center Hotel. With its great location, we found it easy to explore the city. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The breakfast could have been better, though, with a lack of vegetables served and small portions of salad. Nevertheless, we'd still highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great experience in Barcelona.

This was a great place to stay! The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, and the breakfast selection was amazing. On our last stay, our flight home left early so they provided us with a breakfast box, which was a lovely touch. We didn't need our room cleaned every day, but they still gave us fresh towels and water - totally recommend!
We stayed at this hotel in Barcelona as it had a reasonable price. The front desk staff was very welcoming and provided us with a map, which was appreciated. We were lucky to have a room facing the street and were able to enjoy some music from a music festival festival across the street that ended in the evening. The breakfast was great and also included lactose free milk. The hotel wasn't quite in the tourist area, but it was close to the Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes. The room itself was kept clean and we were able to get a good sleep. There was also a small Chinese restaurant on a small street - not far from the hotel - that could be reached within 5 minutes' walk.
This hotel had excellent staff and amenities, but the area left something to be desired. I understand that for certain travelers, this semi-industrial urban setting could be ideal, however, I didn't feel safe walking alone late at night.
