The accommodation was superb and the staff were incredibly helpful. The building itself was a fascinating old police station that has been transformed into a modern and beautifully designed facility. The location near las Ramblas was perfect, with plenty of restaurants, a market, and fantastic shopping all within walking distance. Plus, the underground Metro was conveniently nearby. Additionally, the Gaudi palace was just a short 30-yard walk away.
Terrible experience. I spent 2000€ and received a terrible servise. Never agian. Not even for free. The hotele staff are rasiscts. Don't go there.
During my recent visit to Barcelona, I had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel. The team at the front desk were incredibly helpful and polite, and the rooms were spotless. The hotel's location was ideal, and breakfast was tasty. Additionally, having access to tea and coffee was convenient. The maids were also very helpful and kind. I would like to express my gratitude to all of the staff for making my stay so enjoyable.
Our stay at the Onix Liceo Hotel in Barcelona was a great experience. We were there for 5 nights (13-18th Nov) and our expectations were exceeded in many ways. As soon as we arrived at 12pm, the friendly staff allowed us to check in and go straight to our room. This was a nice surprise as we were prepared for it to be unavailable at that time. The room itself was clean and offered a beautiful view of the pool and patio. The only issue we had with the room was that the two single beds were pushed together with no fixtures to hold them together. However, the beds and pillows were comfortable, so it didn't affect our overall experience.
One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast selection. There was a variety of options including fruits, juices, pastries, bread, meats, cheese, yoghurts, and even some hot dishes. The staff, especially Joel, were incredibly helpful and even gave us great recommendations for places to eat on our last night. The location of the hotel was perfect for us as it was just a 4-minute walk to the nearest metro station and within walking distance to the numerous food options on La Rambla and the Boqueria market.
While our stay was mostly positive, there were a few minor negatives. Our room did not have a safe, which would have been preferred. Additionally, there was no air conditioning or it wasn't working properly in our room, forcing us to leave the window open at night. This also meant we could hear some noise from the nearby nightclub, but we understood this was not the hotel's fault and the central location of the hotel was worth it.
Overall, we had a great stay at the Onix Liceo Hotel. The communal areas were beautiful and we had no major concerns. We would definitely return in the future.
This accommodation is top-notch. The location couldn't be better for exploring all the attractions in the heart of Barcelona, including the beach and the Sagrada Familia. The atmosphere here is relaxed and inviting. We got amazing service from the friendly staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and in the breakfast area. The rooms are supremely comfortable and the pool is a great bonus on hot days. I highly recommend this place for its value and overall experience. Thank you!
