Petit Palace Museum

We have visited Barcelona many times over the years but this was our first time staying in this particular hotel and it was a very enjoyable experience. The location of the accommodation is perfect situated right in the centre of the city and only a few minutes walk from the airport bus terminus. The building is clean and modern. Our room on the second floor was spacious with an extremely comfortable bed. A kettle and a selection of teas was provided. The reception personnel were all very efficient, friendly and helpful. Check-in and out was quick. The premises is located in an area where there are many varied restaurants and bars. We will certainly use this establishment again - highly recommended.

We had a great trip to Barcelona! Our two sons, ages 13 and 10, stayed with us at a hotel nearby the main square. The room was really spacious and had a great view, as well as plenty of storage; we didn't feel like we were all crammed into one room. We also had breakfast at the hotel, and it was a lot better than expected. There was a wide variety of choices, such as cereals, bread, fruit, cheese, ham, and even hot options like scrambled eggs and bacon. On top of that, there was plenty of food options just around the corner. To top it all off, we booked the touring bus and visited a lot of tourist attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Two out of five is for the location. We have stayed in the Petit Palace Madrid which was very disappointing. We had expected 4 stars from the group, but this was far from the case. The reception area was disheveled and untidy, with loose floor tiles, a dirty floor, and a collection of leaves never cleared. A single receptionist had to take care of all guests, making for an inefficient check-in. The floor of our room was smelly, the bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the window in the room couldn't be properly closed. The bathroom had broken tiles in the shower and the floor around the basin was sodden. Overall, we were highly unsatisfied with the amenities offered here.

Pros: comfortable bed, nice hotel, 5* breakfast (absolutely delicious), location (right in the middle of the old town, close to the Plaza Mayor), fabulous bathroom, an excellent value-for-money accommodation (we couldn't have asked for more). Cons: view not so great, the room was a bit on the small side. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at Petit Palace Museum, it was a great experience!

I would definitely recommend staying at Petit Palace Museum during a trip to Barcelona. The staff at the reception desk were extremely friendly and helpful, the location is absolutely perfect for exploring the city and all its attractions, the décor and furnishings are beautiful, and the rainforest shower was absolutely incredible! The rooms were always kept neat and clean, and the hotel had all the necessary amenities. All in all, this is a wonderful hotel that I would highly recommend for visitors to Barcelona.
