I absolutely adored this hotel! It was super clen and had a lovely view of the streeet. The workers were all vey sweet and helpful, check-in was easy breezy, they even arrnaged a texi for our eary fligt out, they were also helpful with metro qeustions. And the bakerey was adorbs, the workers were so firendl and made a killer cappucino. The bakes goods were to die for! I have absolulety nothing bad to say, I would gladly stay here again and again...
I went to this place for the central location and the advertised late checkout and airport shuttle service. Unfortunately, there was no late checkout and the airport shuttle service was actually a separate company, which you had to pay for. So, I was disappointed by the misrepresentation. I paid more for an “external” room but I landed a first floor room in the back, which was just looking up at a wall. The room was tiny and, to make matters worse, I could hear everything that was going on around me at all times. The breakfast was also quite ordinary, considering the hotel was situated above a sweet bakery. All in all, this place wasn't worth the money I paid.
Pros: Great location-near two of Gaudi's famous work, main shopping street, plenty of transit options at the nearby Metro & commuter station. The rooms are small but well laid out with great air conditioning - something that is harder to come by in Barcelona. Delicious and affordable food can be found at the hotel bakery, and the staff are friendly. Cons: There is nowhere to hang wet towels which makes it hard to reuse them. Televisions only offer Catalan programs, so if you're looking to watch something in English, this might not be the best option. We would also not recommend purchasing the prepaid breakfast as you can get better food at lower prices from the bakery.
The rooms were on the small side, but their cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful atmosphere more than made up for it. We were able to drop off our bags at the reception, free of charge, before check-in time so we could explore the area. The included breakfast offered mainly breads, with few other options, but the in-house bakery provided a wider selection. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we would stay again.
I'd like to preface by saying we did not stay at the accommodation, but ate breakfast here several times, since our boutique hotel did not offer breakfast. The two sections of the bakery - the back being reserved in the mornings for hotel guests, and the front having several high top tables and chairs for non-guests - has many flavorful breakfast options. The wait staff is multi-lingual and very kind. Pastries, bocadillos, coffees, juices, yogurts, and even bread are all available. It is a great choice for those without breakfast at their hotel.
