This hotel is located in the perfect spot, right in the heart of Barcelona. It's just a few minutes away from La Rambla and the main square, making it extremely convenient. The rooftop pool is a great place to relax and cool down after a long day of exploring. The breakfast options are excellent and offer everything you could want. The only small issue I had was with the early morning transfer provided by "From 2." Being picked up at 3:35 am a few hundred yards away from the hotel was a bit unusual, but they arrived on time. Despite this, I would highly recommend this hotel. ?
I am not one who likes to complain onilne as I find it unfair on businesess. Howerver, I triiied to complian on site with no luck and an emial provided which was the same email I had been emailling for the past 6 months reguarding my booking. My freindss and I decided to go to Barcolna for a weekend away and decieded on Silken. For some reason the websiet would not authorise my booking which I tried x10 times. This was folowed up by mani emails with no relpy. In the end others booked via different websites and eventually I managed to secure a booking. I had booked a terecae room which was a tasty £100 for 3 nights. On arrivall the room was far from imrpessive. I then discoveryed one of our group who had booked a much cheeper room was upgrded for free (A lovelly gesture but frsuteratin as I had paid double for the same room). I decided to speek to reception to explain my frustartion with the lack of responsed to my emailss and having to eventually pay more for a room with no breakfast than a room that includled breakfast a few months ago. It was met with not much care from both the recepstionist and manager on shifft. I then requesteed an emial to complian but was given the email adrdress that had been ignored for nearly 6months. That evening we wated to enjoy the tereace that we had paid extra to find out that the light hasn't work so found oursevles sittting in the dark. I reported to reception and was told it would be sorted the following day- it was not, and in fact didn't work the whole stay. On one of the mornings our shwoer didn't work which I also relported, it did work when we returned back to the room. My freind then noticed the state of the sofa in the room full of stains. We had a great time in Barcolna but this htoel is not wroth the money or experience. I trvael a lot for work and have never com eacross a team who coudl'nt care less. A shame when there was 9 of us who had spent good money staying here. ...
This accommodation was situated in a great central spot, close to plenty of restaurants and shops. The room was just ok and the morning meal was below par for a city hotel. The personnel at the front desk were very helpful and gave us an upgrade, though there was nothing remarkable about the room.
We recently stayed at this hotel located near many restaurants and shops, ideal for a short stay before a cruise. The room was satisfactory and the breakfast was a standard buffet which suited our needs. We didn't use any of the facilities, but would definitely consider this hotel in our future visits to Barcelona.
My stay at the Silken Ramblas Hotel was overall satisfactory. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, and the hotel was exceptionally clean with a lovely pool on the seventh floor. Most noteworthy was the friendly and helpful staff at the reception - Micaela, Eduardo and Estanis - which made a huge difference to my stay, especially as someone travelling solo. Location wise, the hotel is perfectly situated with only a few minutes' walk to Placa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas, the red buses and the Aerobus (which leads to the airport). While hotels in peak season can be quite costly - particularly for those with an enviable location and a pool - breakfast shouldn't be overlooked as an added bonus.
