Sonder Casa Luz

Our stay was flawless! The hotel entrance was impeccably clean and had a trendy design. The elevators were efficient and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Our room was ideal - spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The balcony, though small, served its purpose well. However, we encountered a mishap when my daughter accidentally cut herself on a sharp edge of the bunk beds.

Unfortunately, my experience at this particular hotel was far from enjoyable. Upon entering the lobby, I couldn't help but feel a sense of concern. The worn and tattered appearance of the lobby was not a promising sign. The staff, while friendly, did not exude professionalism. It almost felt like I had walked into a hostel instead of a hotel - not that there's anything wrong with hostels, but when I pay for a hotel, I expect a certain level of service and facilities.

These initial worries were confirmed when I entered my room. To my disappointment, I noticed black mold growing on the wall by the bathroom (see photo). This was unacceptable and spoke to the lack of care put into maintaining this establishment. When I raised the issue, I was assured that it would be taken care of promptly. However, it was obvious that the mold had been growing for some time and nothing had been done about it.

To make matters worse, my room was located directly below the rooftop bar/restaurant. While the view, food, and service were all average, the staff were incredibly rude and snobbish. And the noise from chairs being dragged across the floor well past midnight kept me up all night. Needless to say, this hotel was a disappointment for me. It seems that others have had more positive experiences, but unfortunately, my stay was ruined by room 510.

? The bed in our room was incredibly cozy and by far the best one I've ever slept in. ?I was blown away by the kindness of the staff members. ? The view from our room was absolutely stunning. I can't wait to come back and try out other Sonders in different parts of the world! ?

Saray was outstanding! The positioning of the hotel was ideal and the accommodations were so pleasant. The morning meal was really convenient and the roof was a great spot to enjoy. I could have stayed on the balcony all day if I had the chance. I truly cherished my stay due to the staff and will be returning for sure!

We had an amazing stay at this incredible hotel! The roof terrace provided an outstanding view, and the beds were so comfortable. The cleaning was excellent, and we even had a bathtub in our room - a very luxurious touch. All in all, it was a great place to stay in a great location.
