AC Hotel Diagonal L'Illa by Marriott

Located in the bustling city of Barcelona, I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. Whether for business or leisure, this establishment exceeded my expectations. Despite not being directly in the tourist hubs, it was conveniently accessible by public transportation or a short stroll. The staff were welcoming and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The spacious and contemporary rooms were a highlight, as well as the impeccably clean bathrooms. The WiFi connection was strong and reliable, making it easy for me to stay connected. Another plus was its proximity to a mall, making it convenient for any additional needs. Overall, my experience was nothing short of outstanding.

?️ Our stay in Barcelona was even better than expected! From the warm and friendly check-in to the spacious lobby, everything was wonderful ? Our room on the 20th floor had a perfect view of the city and the nearby shopping center. The 2-room suite was spacious and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. ?️ And the bed was so cozy and the linens were soft and high quality. ? We also received a complimentary upgrade and some delicious chocolates, thanks to my husband's Marriott Bonvoy status ?‍❤️‍? The rooftop pool bar was a great spot for cocktails and appetizers, with decent views of the city and ocean. ? Housekeeping was always attentive and we appreciated their pleasant service. ? Some things to note: our room was quite chilly, but that just means the air-conditioning works really well! The area is walkable, but you may need a transit or taxi to get to major attractions. And if you're a light sleeper, earplugs might be a good idea when facing the mall side due to loud outdoor music at night. ? Overall, a fantastic stay! ⭐

Our stay at the "AC Hotel Diagonal L'Illa by Marriott" Hotel in Barcelona was somewhat less than expected. From the moment of our arrival, the initial experience seemed promising, however, it took an unfortunate turn when we were assigned the wrong room. After raising the issue, and being initially told there were no available rooms, one miraculously became available when we expressed our dissatisfaction. To add to this, we discovered the room lacked essential amenities such as an iron, ironing board, bathrobes, or slippers, and the cleaning service was not up to the usual standards of cleanliness. Additionally, the staff failed to provide the warm welcome and recognition of guest status that one would expect at a Marriott establishment. This oversight in service standards was a great letdown and overall our experience was not up to the five-star expectations normally associated with Marriott properties; there is clear room for improvement to meet the high standards of this renowned brand.

Staying at this hotel was a great experience! ? The amenities were top-notch, and it was close to a variety of eateries and a shopping mall. Although it wasn't within walking distance to Las Ramblas, the metro station was just a 10 minute stroll away and only 15 minutes away from the popular district. ? Not only that, the on-site restaurant offered amazing food, we loved the breakfast and dinner. ?‍? Furthermore, the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. ? All in all, it was an amazing stay! ?

This hotel was a great find! The contemporary feel, spacious rooms and great location were all great features. Being conveniently located next to a mall with plenty of dining options was a bonus, although it did mean that it was a bit of a distance to get to the inner city attractions. We had a really pleasant stay, the room was spotless and the breakfast was varied and delicious, with friendly and attentive staff. We would definitely come back!
