Almanac Barcelona

Recently returned from a nearly week-long trip to Barcelona where I stayed for two nights at a supposedly luxurious hotel. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this establishment. Despite being labeled as a five-star hotel, it simply did not live up to its price tag. The biggest issue was the weak air conditioning in the rooms, a common complaint among other reviewers here on Tripadvisor. The temperature was never quite cool or warm enough, making for an uncomfortable stay. Another negative was the hotel's prime location on a busy street, causing constant noise in the room from outside traffic. Additionally, I was disappointed to find out that despite booking through Orbitz as a Platinum member, I was not given a room upgrade. This seems to be a trend among hotels and it's frustrating that third party websites do not hold them accountable to their "VIP Access" status. On a positive note, the hotel's location is convenient for exploring the city and the bellboy with the unique mustache was a delight to interact with. However, these few highlights are not enough to outweigh the overall negative experience. In conclusion, I do not recommend this hotel.

This hotel provided an unbeatable location, room, and breakfast. The concierge service was outstanding, exceeding expectations with helpful recommendations for tours, tickets, restaurants, and even arranging for taxis. Although service at the rooftop bar was slow, it was a beautiful and chic experience. Breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection of healthy alternatives. I truly believe this hotel deserves its five-star rating, in particular because of the concierge service which was nothing short of exceptional.

This place is simply amazing! The staff are so friendly and accommodating, making our trip run very smoothly. The rooms are great, with an especially nice shower, and the food is exquisite thanks to a Michelin Star chef. We loved catching the sunset from the rooftop bar and were thankful for all of the staff's suggestions. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it!

This hotel is a great choice if you're looking for a 5-star experience in the middle of the city centre. The staff are super friendly and they'll go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of. The rooms are well-appointed and the bedding is comfortable. Even though there's a busy road right outside, the rooms are surprisingly peaceful and quiet. The gym isn't huge, but there's enough equipment for a full workout and the spa has two saunas. Highly recommended!

Exeptional food, servise orienteted staff and top notche acommodations. Firt clas all the way. Verry convinient lication with many optoins to explroe Barcelone nearbly. We defenitly will retrun for anuther vist.
