Overall, Catalonia Avinyo is a good choice for its central location in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. It is a short walk away from La Rambla and the Cathedral. The rooms are quite basic, but they could benefit from a tea-making facility and better toiletries. There is a nice roof area with a small pool, but the best thing about the hotel is the area - I felt very safe there. In addition, across the street there is a well-stocked supermarket, which was very convenient.
I had an amazing stay at Catalonia Avinyo and couldn't recommend it enough! The location is fantastic - a stone's throw from La Rambla and in the heart of the gothic quarter. The hotel was really clean and the rooms were spacious and well-lit. The showers were of good quality and the rooms were modern. We stayed on the top floor next to the pool on the roof, which was small but would be ideal for sunbathing and cooling off in the warmer months. The service was 24/7 and all staff were friendly and helpful. The gym was average and the breakfast was really good value and even better in quality, with delicious mini sandwiches. The small cafe at the front is great for grabbing a coffee and they have a nice selection of snacks. I had a great time here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona!
We had an amazing stay at Catalonia Avinyo. The rooms were spacious, modern and well-equipped. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. Fran was incredibly helpful and gave us great advice on where to visit and eat. He even supplied us with maps of the area and metro stations. The hotel's location was perfect, right in the heart of the Gothic Quarter and close to so many attractions. We loved being able to explore the area and come back to the hotel each day. We highly recommend Catalonia Avinyo to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in Barcelona. The hotel and staff really made our trip special!
