My stay at Catalonia Gran Via BCN was very pleasant. The room was comfortable and modern and the staff was more than accommodating. The bathroom was also of a good size, especially for a European hotel. The breakfast was great, with a good range of options and quality. I would definitely recommend a stay at this hotel and would stay again when I return to Barcelona.
The response from the hotel has been reactive and dismissive, which has been rather disappointing. Aside from this experience I think this hotel is great and the staff really courteous and friendly. Unfortunately due to this experience I can’t recommend Catalonia Gran Via BCN.
Despite the courteous and friendly staff at Catalonia Gran Via BCN, I cannot recommend this hotel due to a very unsettling experience. At 315 am, someone used a key to enter our room. When I called the front desk, they explained that an individual had been in the hotel earlier and gave them bad vibes, prompting them to lock the doors. As there were no cameras, the hotel did not clarify what occurred. Moreover, one of our room keys went missing. Despite expressing the traumatic experience to the front desk upon checkout and in emails afterwards, the hotel's reaction was reactive and dismissive, which was highly disappointing. It is my sincere hope that going forward, safety is a top priority for this hotel.
Room was quite small but had everything we needed & clean. Room service was first class, willing to do anything they could to help us out. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona and needing a good place to stay.
Stayed the third weekend this year at Catalonia Gran Via BCN. The hotel was clean, friendly and had an excellent location - only a 10-minute walk to the center. I joined Catalonia rewards as I plan to return soon in 2023. Room was small but had all the amenities we needed. Room service was outstanding, very helpful, and accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel for any visitors to Barcelona and I will surely stay again!
I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at Catalonia Gran Via BCN! The hotel was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the staff provided 10/10 service. We stayed in room 903 and had a great suite with a spacious outdoor terrace and a pool. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I will be returning for sure. A big thank you to the staff for making this experience wonderful. Keep up the good work!
