The hotel boasts a prime location, however, it appears to be outdated and in need of renovation. The in-room amenities are lacking, with no tea kettle and the inability to borrow one. My room had a less-than-pleasant odor, but it was tidy. Quite a contrast from the impressive Catalonia Madrid.
The accommodations were excellent! The room was ample in size and even included a balcony, which was a pleasant surprise. Housekeeping tended to our room daily and left it impeccably clean. The staff was extremely hospitable and welcoming. The location was ideal, with a peaceful atmosphere yet a variety of dining options and bars nearby. Plus, the metro system was conveniently located within a short walking distance, providing easy access to all the city has to offer. The only downside was the noise from the road at night, as there were frequent emergency vehicles with sirens. Additionally, the windows were not very soundproof.
From the moment we arrived to the time we checked out, our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The team members were consistently welcoming and went above and beyond to assist us with any requests, no matter how trivial they may have seemed. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with a well-equipped gym and a tranquil pool area with plenty of loungers for sunbathing. Our room was impeccably clean and exceeded our expectations. Without a doubt, I will be returning to this hotel in the future. ?
I stayed at the Catalonia Sagrada Familia Hotel in Barcelona for 4 nights and I have to say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and helpful, always making sure our stay was comfortable. Our room, located on the second floor, was cleaned every day and we were provided with fresh towels. The pool, also on the second floor, was a lovely spot to soak up some sunshine between the hours of 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Although there weren't a lot of sunbeds, there was ample seating and it was still a nice area to unwind and relax in.
Getting to and from the airport was a breeze, as we took a taxi for 37 euros and arrived in about 25 minutes. We also took advantage of the hotel's convenient location and walked into the main town almost every day, stopping at various cafes for a refreshing drink. On the one day we didn't walk, we found the tube, which was just a few minutes away from the hotel, and a one-way ticket cost around 3 euros.
One place that stood out to us was the restaurant El Clot, which was conveniently located next to the tube station of the same name. I highly recommend eating here as we had the most delicious tapas and smoothies. Another gem we stumbled upon was Nou Somni, a few minutes' walk from the hotel, where we enjoyed affordable drinks and a lovely atmosphere to unwind in. Overall, our stay at the Catalonia Sagrada Familia Hotel exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.
? I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were incredibly helpful and the location was perfect for exploring. We were able to walk to La Sagrada Familia and numerous restaurants and shops. The employees even gave us helpful tips about pickpockets (?) and other things to be aware of. The rooms were super cozy and spotless. Plus, we got to enjoy a complimentary breakfast ????☕ even though we had to leave early. They packed us a breakfast box with everything we needed, including a sandwich, fruit, crackers, orange juice, and water. It was such a kind gesture and made our day start off on a positive note. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Barcelona! ?
