This historic old charm hotel is in an amazing location nestled just off the Plaza Catalunya. Perfect for the budget traveler, the hotel is within walking distance to the bustling La Ramblas and the upscale Passeig de Gracia. We had budgeted for taxis and metros in Barcelona but soon found that we were able to walk anywhere, even to the famous Opera House! There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well as the plethora of shops on Passeig de Gracia. Service is efficient, rooms are quite spacious for European standards, and breakfast was good!
We returned to this hotel 4 years later. We were pleasantly surprised to receive a warm welcome from the staff. Our room was lovely and we had a terrace with a great view. It was conveniently located near Las Ramblas. The breakfast buffet was delicious! Our entire stay was a delight!
This accommodation was great! We had a fantastic stay in a wonderful location. We were close to many attractions, shops, and restaurants, and the beach was only a short walk away. The breakfast buffet was incredible - the selection was outstanding! A highlight was the rooftop pool and bar, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. All in all, it was a great experience!
Location could not be better. Right at the end of Passeig de Gracia and the top of Las Ramblas, guests have easy access to Casa Battlo and a myriad of great restaurants, bars, bakeries, and gelato spots. Additionally, there is a metro station just around the corner for those looking to explore the surrounding area. The hotel's décor is beautiful and vintage, and the service provided is outstanding. Breakfast offerings were simple but satisfactory. Although the price tag may seem a bit high for its offering, one must remember the prime location and convenience offered. That being said, beds could have been improved as two twins pushed together to make one can be quite annoying, especially if they keep rolling apart. All in all, a great stay in an amazing location that you will want to visit again.
The resarvation was made and confirmed 9 monts befor my arroval and I onnly made two requests, a douoble bed and a qyuiet room. They put us in a room on the first floor (the hottel has 9 flors), room 109, fascing the street with very intence traffic noise day and nihgt and, as that was not enough, the subway pasess below the room causing a lot of noise and inconveneince, day and nihgt, especally after 7:00 am when the flow of trains should be greeter and we couldn't sleap due to the noise of trains and traffic. Frustrating and disapointing..
