Staying at El Avenida Palace Hotel was quite a disappointment. The room we were given had no ventilation and only a small corner window facing a wall that let in no sunlight, making us feel damp all the time. When we requested a change of room, the staff took down our request but never acted upon it. We were given the same standard response every time - the hotel was booked. Even the next day, they were unable to provide us with another room.
We had a fantastic stay at this accommodation. It was conveniently located close to some great dining and shopping options. The staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. We booked this place for two nights and brought our teenage daughters with us - we'd definitely recommend it to other families.
I had one of the best stays at this hotel. The staff was outstanding and very helpful. The views from the rooftop were breathtaking and the rooms were spacious, comfortable and provided all the necessary amenities. I was especially delighted with the coffee machine in my room.
We stayed in the special suite, themed in honor of a certain popular group that stayed there in 1965. As a fan, this was an amazing opportunity and the room was clean and nicely decorated. The only downside was the lumpy king bed, which was not the greatest, but still an okay experience. Service at the front desk was a hit or miss - some were super nice, but a couple of them were not so friendly. I've been here before, and the service was not like this - it's a great location, and overall a pleasant hotel to stay in, so I'm likely to come back.
The service staff at the El Avenida Palace Hotel were incredibly fast to respond to our requests, exceeding our expectations. We would not hesitate to return during any future trips to Barcelona. The only issue we experienced was that cars could not be parked directly in front of the hotel, requiring us to walk to the parking spot.
