During my recent trip to Barcelona, I had a disappointing experience with the hotel I booked. Despite my booking stating "payment on arrival," the hotel attempted to charge my credit card multiple times before my arrival. As a security measure, my AMEX Business card did not allow the payment to go through without me present, resulting in the hotel canceling my reservation just two hours before I was set to check in. This left me with no choice but to pay an exorbitant amount for a lesser room, interrupting an important meeting just to do so.
To make matters worse, the parking situation was inconvenient and not secure. We had to drive up a taxi lane to quickly drop off our luggage and then find the parking, which was a considerable distance away from the hotel. The next morning, we discovered our rental car had been damaged. Upon arrival at the hotel, our room was not ready and we had to wait an additional 45 minutes. To top it off, the room itself was not up to par. It was supposed to be a double bed, but instead, we were given two twin beds pushed together, which separated during the night. The air conditioning was not working properly and only blew out cold air. We were only provided with one sheet to cover ourselves, leaving us cold throughout the night. There were no extra blankets or quilts in the room.
To add insult to injury, when I complained to the hotel about all of these issues, they refused to do anything and displayed a dismissive and arrogant attitude. It became clear that they did not care about their guests' satisfaction. It is disappointing that one person's review does not seem to matter to them. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty of other options in the area that would be a better choice.
Despite the hefty price, the room did not meet my expectations. The bathroom is in dire need of renovations, as certain shower fixtures are clearly showing signs of wear and tear. Additionally, the room's dark furniture and carpeting make the space feel quite dim and gloomy.
On our recent trip to Barcelona, we stayed at a hotel that was conveniently located near the cruise terminal, airport, and several dining and shopping options. It was our second time staying there, and we found it to be a great choice for a short stay. We felt comfortable walking around the surrounding areas, including plazas, especially in the evenings. Overall, we would definitely recommend this accommodation for anyone looking for a few nights in the city.
The hotel I stayed at in Barcelona was truly exceptional. From its convenient location near all the popular attractions to the helpful recommendations for shows and restaurants, our stay was flawless. The vintage charm of the hotel added to its pleasant atmosphere. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
Recently, I had the pleasure of revisiting a lovely hotel in Barcelona with my daughter. It has become a tradition for us to take an annual city break to this charming destination. The staff at this establishment displayed exceptional friendliness and professionalism, making us feel truly welcomed. The interior decorations were stunning, creating a special atmosphere throughout. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious, complete with great showers. And I must mention the breakfast, which was simply superb.
