The location was excellent and I was able to secure a great rate by booking directly. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with good soundproofing. There were a few minor issues with some sockets not working, but overall I had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend this hotel as a base in Barcelona.
This hotel was an absolute gem. It had a fantastic location and I was lucky enough to stay in room 903, which was a suite. It was conveniently situated just below the pool area where you could enjoy a refreshing drink while taking in the stunning views of the city. The hotel's location was perfect with a metro station right at its doorstep and the Avis/Budget rental car office within a short 4 minute walk. The central square, Placa de Catalunya, was just a 5 minute walk away and served as the starting and ending point for the Hop On/Hop Off bus as well as walking tours. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
This hotel has a fantastic location with a lovely atmosphere and outstanding service. Complimentary coffee and water were provided in the room, and the interior was impeccably clean. The view from the rooftop was absolutely stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would rate it 10/10!
This hotel, situated in the heart of Barcelona, is rich with history and charm. It has been standing here since 1952, making it a unique landmark in the city. Some may remember that on July 3, 1965, a famous band, the Beatles, stayed in one of the rooms - room 111 to be exact. It was a special moment for the Spanish people. The hotel has been the pride and joy of its owner, a former vice-president of the local football team. Interestingly, I had the pleasure of meeting him during breakfast! He is a true enthusiast, dedicated to preserving the hotel's traditions and values. The lovely staff, particularly Gabriella, left a lasting impression on us with her warm smile and commitment to this place. Thank you, Avenida team, for a wonderful stay.
During our 4-night stay, we were pleased with the hotel's prime location near several top attractions and right across from the metro. The property itself exudes beauty and was immaculate throughout our visit. The staff was incredibly efficient and accommodating. Our room was spacious and the bathroom was quite sizable. Despite being situated in the bustling city center, the room remained peaceful and quiet at night. The buffet breakfast, served in a charming setting, was a highlight for us. If we find ourselves in Barcelona again, we will surely choose to stay here once more.
