We stayed at this accommodation for 3 nights to cap off a cruise around the Mediterranean. We had not heard of this place before but were taken aback by how pleasant it was. It had a classic feel and great amenities, including a rooftop pool. We were only one block away from Placa de Catalunya, which gave us quick access to all of the main attractions via hop on hop off busses, as well as being a short stroll from La Rambla and some of the best restaurants around. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, breakfast was scrumptious, and the room was quite comfortable. If I ever make it back to Barcelona, I will certainly book another stay here.
Overall it was excellent! Just a minor complaint is that the hallway leading to our room probably needed some cleaning. Has a slight smell. Or cannot replace it because it is a historic place? It is so beautiful inside! Marble floors, stairways, sculptures, old photographs. The staff was wonderful!!.

This hotel is in a prime spot and the Jr suite was really nice and large. Unfortunately, the couch in the living room was not comfortable due to excessive sagging, so it was necessary to use two large bed pillows. Despite this, the staff were friendly and helpful.
This obsoletely gorgeous hotel is situated in a fantastic location in Barcelona. The rooms are roomy and the staff are friendly and accommodating. There's also a nice selection of breakfast items. The lobby and interiors are awe-inspiring and its appearance is in keeping with the local area. Absolutely worth a visit!
Very nice hotel that is right in the heart of all of the action in Barcelona - close to major bus and train lines (one block to Placa Catalunya station) and a lot of the attractions (walk to Casa Battio, Las Ramblas). It was very convenient. The staff was really nice and always helpful. We had a suite with our adjoining rooms. Rooms and beds were comfortable, but one issue was that we were not able to figure out how to adjust the room temperature and my wife slept with a blanket (in the middle of summer). Breakfast was upscale and nice - great selection of juices, coffee, rolls and fruit, but a little too heavy on eggs (is that a thing in Spain?), although option for salad was nice. The only other slight issue was that in one of the rooms, there was a separate bathtub and a smaller shower, and we prefer shower, which was a little cramped. However, overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely not hesitate to choose this hotel again.
