The hotel we stayed at in Barcelona was located in a prime spot, right in the heart of the Example area. This part of the city is known for its beauty, elegance, and central location. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's gesture: after informing them via email about the purpose of our trip, they kindly reserved the largest apartment with a jacuzzi bathroom for us at no extra cost. It was a fantastic surprise and greatly enhanced our stay.
The location of this hotel, situated near Rambla and Passeo de Gracia, is unbeatable. It's just a stone's throw away from the metro station, Casa Batllo, and Plaza de Cataluna. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, and the rooms were spacious and spotless. The breakfast spread was top-notch. My only suggestion for improvement would be to enhance the soundproofing of the rooms, both from the inside and outside. Despite this minor issue, I would definitely choose to stay here again. Highly recommended.
During my recent trip to Barcelona, I had the chance to stay at a hotel that was just average. This was a part of a group trip, and the staff at the reception were all average, nothing that stood out. Breakfast was alright, your usual selection, but the setup was all over the place. Coffee was in one spot, while tea had to be requested from another area. To make matters worse, there was no iron in my room and when I asked for one, it seemed as if I had asked for something made of gold. The rooms could use a makeover as well. Despite being marketed as a four-star hotel, it felt more like a three-star. On the bright side, the location was very convenient, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby.
My recent stay at a hotel in Barcelona was quite satisfactory, particularly when it came to the breakfast. One minor issue was the lack of tissues and slippers in the room. The hotel's location was ideal and it was the highlight of my trip. However, I think the staff could have been a bit friendlier and more welcoming.
This hotel is located in a prime location, but the small rooms and a lack of proper maintenance made it a less than desirable stay. The shower tap wasn't working correctly and the balcony door was not closing properly and had a broken lock. For the price (300€/ night), the quality did not match up. Additionally, the neighboring hotel is currently undergoing renovations which was quite noisy during work hours.
