Grand Hotel Central, Small Luxury Hotels

We had a great stay at the Grand Hotel Central, Small Luxury Hotels in Barcelona. Located along the edge of the limited traffic zone, it was easy to hail a taxi and get to attractions such La Ramblas, the Cathedral, and the Gothic Quarter. Great choices for cafes and restaurants in the area added to the experience. However, the rooftop bar was the highlight, with friendly staff, great drinks, and reasonable prices given the setting and the views. We even had dinner there on the last night because of the wide range of options. The room was comfortable and spacious with good bed linen and nice towels. The courteous staff also added to the warm welcome with a complimentary glass of Cava. A truly pleasant stay!

This hotel is in an excellent spot. The staff at the front desk are very beneficial and courteous, always greeting us and inquiring about how our stay is going. The lodgings and the establishment itself are contemporary and pleasant, and would definitely be classified as five-star. The family suites are a bit tucked away and don't offer direct views, and you can feel the nearby subway passing under the building - this can be heard, although it's not which unreasonable. Apart from that, there are no other real drawbacks. It was a great stay. We'll be back!

This old boutique hotel in the historic Gothic area is located close to the vibrant and less touristy Born area. Unfortunately, I soon came to realise the enormous network of thieves waiting to rob anyone and everyone outside the hotel! I knew the pickpocketing in Barcelona was bad based on my research, however, the crime is even more prevalent than I thought. Pickpocketing, strong arm robbery, and scams are all over the place! On our last day of stay, I rented a car and parked it in the loading area in front of the hotel. While the bellman loaded my bags, a man in his early 30s asked for directions. As I was trying to provide directions, another man opened the side door and trunk and proceeded to remove a very large suitcase and backpack. Fortunately, I sensed something was strange and intervened. We were able to take my bags back and my son even knocked the robber down in the middle of the street, all of which was captured on the hotel’s security camera. The hotel staff ran out to assist us and the police soon arrived on the scene. I spent approximately 2 hours at the police station to provide my statement. Overall, the hotel staff is impeccable and their service goes above and beyond. The rooftop pool and terrace are also amazing! However, do be aware of the area and watch your back on the streets at all times!

I had an amazing stay at the Grand Hotel Central, Small Luxury Hotels in Barcelona. The location couldn't have been better and the staff were amazing - particularly Oliver and Juan Manuel who were incredibly helpful. The food was delicious and the drinks were top notch. Would highly recommend it and suggest you make reservations in advance.

Our first day of our holiday and wow?, we have already had great service?! We went to the sky bar for some cocktails after arriving and we were lucky enough to have an incredibly attentive waiter?. He went out of his way to provide us with local restaurant recommendations?️ and to understand our needs, even though Spanish is not our first language. ?Thanks for the exceptional customer service - it truly is what you would expect from a 5✨️ hotel. Brilliant⭐️ and we can't wait for the remainder of our stay in Barcelona if the first 5 hours have been this good?!
