The mattress was all springs and very uncomfortable - it was hard to sleep here for 3 nights. If the bed was more comfortable I would have given a much higher rating. Aside from that, the buffet was great, the place was clean, and the location was perfect!
We stayed at this hotel from August 15 to 27, and were warmly welcomed in French. The service was excellent in the lobby, restaurant, and terrace. Our room, no. 515, on the 5th floor was spacious, spotless, and up-to-date. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh, no matter when we arrived. The swimming pool, while small, was a delight to enjoy after a hot day. The food on the terrace was good, but the selection of alcoholic drinks could have been better. We had an ideal location near the metro, Catalysa beach, RAMBLAS, and the beach, which was only 10 minutes away by bus. We’d like to thank the staff for their superb service throughout our stay, particularly the reception staff. Gisele & Serge from Quebec can’t recommend this hotel enough. Thank you!
Pros: Fantastic location with easy access to local food places, bus and metro stops nearby. Great value compared to other nearby hotels. Cons: Thin walls meant hearing every door slam shut in nearby rooms and neighbours/people above talking/walking around. This resulted in two or three nights of poor sleep due to people coming in at all times in the night, reducing the overall experience from 4.5/5 to 3/5.
We had a great experience at the HCC Montblanc Hotel in Barcelona. From the friendly and helpful staff to the clean and comfortable room, we were delighted with every aspect of our stay. The only area that we felt could have been improved was that on the morning of our departure our taxi arrived before the 7 a.m. breakfast opening time and we were not permitted to use the coffee machine. However, this would not stop us from staying here again in the future.
HCC Montblanc Hotel is great.
We had a great stay here; the staff were really friendly and helpful. Despite the fact it's quite a noisy street with a lot of construction work going on, our room was at the back and that was perfectly fine. All in all, this hotel was great.
