Our recent stay at a hotel in Barcelona was overall enjoyable, although there were a few noteworthy aspects that could be improved upon. While the reception staff was warm and welcoming, the breakfast experience lacked the same friendliness. The room we stayed in was cozy and well-maintained, however, we did notice some signs of wear and tear, such as creaky floors that may require attention. On one occasion, we encountered an unexpected issue with the maid service when we found no shower towels in our room on the second day. Although they were provided later on, we did notice a difference in size between them. The breakfast service could also benefit from some improvements, as it seemed that only two staff members were responsible for managing it, resulting in delays and limited assistance for guests. It would also be beneficial for the hotel to offer yogurt options without bovine gelatine for guests with dietary preferences or restrictions. Overall, our stay was pleasant thanks to the friendly reception staff and comfortable, tidy rooms. However, we believe addressing the maintenance issues and enhancing the breakfast service could further elevate the guest experience.
Arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning, seeking accommodation after being unable to enter our daughter's apartment. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the room was reasonably priced. Enjoyed a good night's rest and were able to sleep in with a noon check out time. The rooftop terrace also offered a pleasant view.
Our stay at this hotel for three nights in March/April was wonderful. We opted for room only so we could explore the many nearby restaurants and cafes. While breakfast is available at the hotel, we chose to dine out. The rooms were exceptionally clean and provided all the essentials for a weekend getaway, including a hairdryer, ample power outlets, and a great shower. The location was perfect, only a ten-minute walk from Sagrada Familia, which was the main reason for our trip. The staff were extremely helpful, providing us with plenty of information on local transportation and recommendations for nearby dining options on our first night. We were so impressed with our stay that we have already booked a return visit for a Christmas trip. The central location and excellent staff make this hotel a top choice for us.
During my stay at Hotel Best Aranea in Barcelona, I can confidently say that I had an amazing experience. The hotel is located in a lively neighborhood with a local atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. Although the area was bustling, it didn't have that typical touristy vibe. However, getting to the popular tourist spots was a breeze thanks to the convenient metro and bus lines, as well as the option to walk.
As for the hotel itself, I was impressed by how clean it was. My room, 311, was a simple yet cozy single room. Although it didn't offer a view, it was quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. I mainly used the room to rest and get ready for my adventures in the city. The double bed was very comfortable, and there was even a mini fridge for storing drinks and snacks. The only downside was the lack of a kettle, but it wasn't a major issue for me.
The management team at Hotel Best Aranea was extremely kind and helpful, which added to the overall pleasant experience. Since I was on a budget, I decided to skip the breakfast option. Instead, I discovered a charming little café called L'Obrafor just a short walk away. For only 3 euros, I could get an amazing cup of coffee and a delicious toasted cheese and ham sandwich. Additionally, there was a grocery store conveniently located right around the corner for any other snacks or essentials.
Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Best Aranea for its great location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. My stay here truly enhanced my trip to Barcelona.
We absolutely loved our stay! The beds were so comfortable, the air conditioning was top notch, and the room was simply beautiful. We had read some reviews that said there weren't any tea/coffee facilities, so we had brought a travel kettle of our own - no problem at all. We decided to take a late-night walk back from La Rambla, and felt completely safe with the ambiance on the streets surrounding the hotel. If we're ever lucky enough to come back, we'll definitely be returning - a big thank you from the couple from Wales X.
