I had a really unpleasant experience during my stay. Despite the great service from the reception staff, I had to beg several times for towels until I finally gave up and bought my own. This completely ruined my vacation with my daughter and I won't be coming back here.
Our room here had an awesome balcony - it was roomy and had a little table and a couple of chairs, so we could relax and have a drink in the evening. The rooms were a decent size and cozy. The neighborhood was all right - it took a 10-min cab ride from the airport. There were some nice areas to explore near the hotel. The facilities were quite decent - there was a gym and a lift to carry our luggage up to our room. It was a fairly busy place, and the staff were nice and helpful. We had a pleasant stay for two nights, and we'd come back again.
Had a wonderful week at this hotel in June. It's conveniently located close to public transportation, which makes getting around the city a breeze. Our room was a good-sized twin with AC to keep cool. Breakfast had a nice variety of options, from cereal to hot items, plus meat, cheese, and fruit. The bar shuts around 11pm, but there are plenty of great bars and restaurants within walking distance. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, even booking us a taxi to the airport. €43. We had an amazing experience and are already looking forward to our visit next year.
??Rating a 3-star hotel in Barcelona during the summer can be a tricky task. In this case, the ??price-quality is great- super affordable for the high season. The room was quite small but generally clean. There was a very small bathroom, and the bed was comfortable. The AC was a bit too powerful for the room, and unfortunately you couldn't turn it off entirely- it was either too hot or too cold. That's why I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4.
My friend and I booked to stay here for 4 night. The accommodation was quite basic and on arrival we were provided a double bed, even though we had requested a twin. Unfortunately, we were told to wait 4 hours until one became available, leaving us to wander the streets of Barcelona with no prior knowledge of the area. Luckily, we stumbled upon Marina, which gave us an enjoyable few hours. Eventually, when we went to our room, it was tiny with a small window and rickety aircon. To make matters worse, the noise was unbearable, not to mention the lack of ability to control the water pressure in the shower - it was either freezing or scorching at any given time. Furthermore, despite placing the towels in the shower every day, they were never replaced - so we only had one bath towel and one hand towel for two of us. To top it all off, an incessant dripping sound from the shower kept us up each night, with no explanation as to where the sound was coming from. All in all, the walls were thin and with constant banging of doors outside along with the noise, sleep was pretty much impossible. As we left, the receptionist mistakenly put us in a taxi that was not arranged for us. After making a phone call, it was clarified the taxi was for us, but the issue had to be settled with the taxi driver which resulted in me having to pay for it with my credit card. Needless to say, I would not recommend this hotel unless you're in the market for a sleepless, scam-filled experience of showering with boiling or freezing water. The location wasn't bad but the customer service was appalling.
