The location of this accommodation was perfect. Our room had double windows, from which we had an amazing view of the luxurious boats anchored nearby. Make sure you book a room with a view of the port when you can, as quite a few of the other rooms nearby seemed small. Spending €270 for a Tuesday night in May, we thought we'd be getting pleasant surroundings - the exterior of the building was lovely, but the inside was a let down; so outdated and like a throwback to the 90s. The beds were hard, there were no extra amenities such as mini bottles of water, and the decor of the breakfast area was similarly aged and looked cheap. All in all, the location was the only positives; otherwise we were very disappointed with the lack of modernity and comfort. There are plenty of other hotels nearby with more attractive amenities and better prices.

Staying in this hotel is great for anyone looking for a break to explore a city or hit the beach. It's located within close proximity to both the seafront and Gothic quarters, making it perfect for walking adventures. The rooms are quite roomy and have good en suite facilities and there are lifts and stairs throughout the hotel. Every morning, a fantastic buffet breakfast is served with a range of cooked foods, cold meats and cheeses, bread, fruit, coffee and more. The staff are all very pleasant and many are able to speak workable English. There are so many things to see and do in the area, but one of the must-dos is the walking tour of the Gothic quarter which is absolutely captivating.

And a bonus: A lot of plugs for each outlet.

We booked this accommodation mainly for the price, but you get what you pay for. The elevator buttons were a bit off, and you could hear the person in the adjacent room showering. Additionally, it looked like our ceiling panels were about to cave in. Service was ok, we asked about staying later than usual the night prior and were told to come back in the morning. We're not sure how that changed anything, but it is what it is. The room was very basic, with no water kettle. There was a safe and a tiny mini-fridge, but the lighting was not great as you both had to control the same bedside lamp. The beds were uncomfortable, and the pillows were as flat as pancakes. The shower pressure was ok and the temperature control was alright, either stuffy or cold. We were on the first floor and there was a lot of noise from traffic, music, and other people. We'd recommend requesting a room on a higher floor. Toiletries included shampoo/body wash combo, bar soap, and shower caps, and wifi was free. Bonus: loads of plugs per outlet.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and I was even able to check in early. My room was on the fourth floor and had a beautiful rooftop terrace. The hotel's location was perfect as it was right next to a metro station for getting around, as well as being located right at the port. To my happy surprise, the hotel was quiet during the night.
