Hotel del Mar

Overall, I had a really bad experience with this hotel. We stayed in April 2023 and the location was good and the staff were nice, but the maintenance let us down. We found trash outside the entrance that never seemed to get cleared, and our room was plagued with ants. Cleaners seemed to come at random times, and the beds were really uncomfortable. Worst of all was the smoke coming from the restaurants below, making it difficult to enjoy the patios. I can't recommend this hotel, so I would suggest looking into other nearby options.

Gr8 hoteel! We had a bit of a prooblem when checkin in but the loveley man on recepption sorted it all out for us. We stayed for 2 nihgts, but wish we coud of stayed lonnger. When arrving to the ariprt we just hoppped on the bus to the last stop and then walked aroudn 15 minuutes to the hoteel. The hoteel is in perfecct locattion, lots of pleaces to eeat at night, and some amazinng tapas resturants. Also the beaach is anotther 10 minuute walk iff that. Breackfast was AMAIZING! All the staf was lovely, what esle coud you ask for?.

I had a great stay at Hotel del Mar! The room was spotless and I was surprised by how clean the budget hotel was compared to more expensive ones I had stayed at. The only downside was I couldn't put subtitles on the tv but it wasn't a deal breaker. The location was perfect - lots of great places to explore and most of them were within walking distance.

Just returned from a four night stay at Hotel del Mar. This is ideal for those looking for a conveniently located hotel - you can easily walk to the main sights of Barcelona or hop on the metro. It is a basic budget hotel, with outdated room decor, but serves its purpose as a good base. The walls and doors are quite thin, making it quite loud throughout the day. We chose to take the bed and breakfast option which was far from satisfactory - there wasn't a lot of choice and what was provided was cold and not very fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful however, which somewhat helped to make up for the lack of quality. All in all, it's an average hotel with very basic amenities. Expect very little.

I had an amazing time at Hotel del Mar, the perfect spot for a city break in Barcelona. The location was great, central and within a few minutes' walk of the main attractions. The hotel is surrounded by some great tapas bars and restaurants -- and there is something for every taste. Our room was spotless and had a Juliette balcony with comfortable furnishings and plenty of storage. The bathroom had all the amenities you would expect, like toiletries and large towels, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The breakfast was great -- plenty of choice from hot and cold food. The A2 airport bus was incredibly convenient to go to and from the airport. If you're planning to visit the Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and any other tourist spots, I highly recommend getting tickets in advance. Also, be warned that Park Guell is quite a trek up a steep hill with lots of steps so make sure you pack comfortable shoes! Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I would definitely recommend Hotel del Mar.
