Stayed at the Hotel del Mar for 4 nights and it was really great. Not only was it clean and in a great location, but the staff was also really friendly and helpful. The room was small but comfortable and warm, although too warm at times. We were able to access the hop on hop off bus and the airport bus from Placa de Catalunya, but you could get the metro near the hotel too. The great rain shower was definitely a plus. El Born and Barceloneta had great nightlife options, bars and restaurants. We felt safe going out, even at night. We also walked to other areas like the beach, the Sagrada Familia, and the port. Plus, the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Overall, this was a great stay and we'd definitely be back!
