Hotel Granados 83, a Member of Design Hotels
About
Rooms conceived as lofts
Opened early 2006, this original hotel was an old hospital. The dimensions are therefore unusual with rooms conceived as lofts in an Art Nouveau style, joining iron and apparent stone walls, wells of vertical light, all in a great Asian Zen influence very relaxing. Archetype of design hotels, the hotel has taken its place among the hotels in vogue in Barcelona. It is also ideally placed close to La Ramblas and the Paseo de Gracia. To discover!

This hotel has been my go-to choice for accommodation during my visits to Barcelona for work in the past couple of years. Its central location in the city's business district makes it convenient to get around on foot, with everything within a 10-15 minute walk. A taxi from the airport, which costs around €30, can easily take you to the hotel. If you're looking for more affordable transportation options, Uber and FreeNow operate in the area, and there are plenty of city taxis available at similar prices. The hotel boasts an industrial-chic design, with exposed brick walls giving it a unique charm. It may appear narrow from the street, but it's surprisingly spacious once inside. The restaurant is located in the basement and there's a gym and pool on the seventh floor. The rooms may be on the smaller side, but they have all the necessary amenities, such as a minibar, large flat-screen TV, and hairdryer. However, if you require an iron or ironing board, you'll have to call housekeeping, and there are no tea or coffee making facilities, possibly due to cultural preferences for fresh coffee. The only minor inconvenience was the narrow desk in my room, which came with a small leather stool instead of a regular chair. However, I managed to improvise by bringing one of the garden chairs from the balcony inside. Breakfast is included in the price, and at around €150 per night during the spring season, it's worth it. The breakfast spread is excellent and kept me going throughout the day while I was working. The staff, who are fluent in multiple languages, were extremely welcoming and friendly, making me feel like a long-lost friend every time I returned to the lobby.
This hotel was satisfactory, the level of service we received was exceptional. The location offered many enjoyable dining choices. We were impressed with the breakfast buffet, including the hot dishes, and our server was fantastic. Upon departure, a kind lady from reception even went out in the rain to find us a taxi, which was truly beyond our expectations. Although the room was a bit small, it was neat and served its purpose. Unfortunately, the view from our room was not ideal, so requesting a street view is recommended.
During my recent trip to Barcelona, I had a fantastic experience at the hotel. The hotel's location was ideal, and the bed provided me with the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The pillows were also incredibly comfortable. The room was modern and impeccably clean, and the water pressure in the shower was exceptional. The staff at the reception desk were always friendly and welcoming. During check-in, one of the staff members even took the time to provide me with a map and highlight some must-see places as well as areas to avoid.
Architecturaly stunning interior, with a peceful and clam atmosfere. Greet location - clsoe enough to the metr yet away from the husle and bustle of La Rambla. First class customer servise, with many points of intrest shared upon arival. I wouldn't haesitate in recomending.
During my stay in Barcelona, I had the pleasure of experiencing excellent services and a prime location. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit the city. The only suggestion I have is to keep the restaurant and bar open all day for the convenience of your guests. Other than that, I will definitely return with my family to explore Barcelona and stay at this hotel again.
