The Miramar is housed in a former palace built in 1929, when Barcelona was celebrating its second Universal Exhibition. Restored in 2006 it kept its avant-garde décor and a broad range of services. You will appreciate the large garden and the modern Mediterranean cuisine restaurant called the Forestier.

We stayed here for business for a few nights and were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's amenities. The check-in process was a bit slow, but not too bad. There are two lifts which could be a bit quicker but at least they are there. The room we got was a bit warm but after a call to reception they sent up a maintenance person to fix the air conditioning quickly. The new room we got had lovely views of the harbour and a great shower which more than made up for the lack of a bath. The food at the hotel was good and there were free sweets in the lobby which was a nice surprise. I'd say this was probably a 5-star hotel many years ago and it still lives up to that standard today. All in all, a great experience.

We chose Hotel Miramar Barcelona GL for our holiday and were not disappointed! Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Helena at reception, who was wonderful and very eager to help us with any information or advice that we needed. The staff were all friendly and professional throughout our stay. The complimentary breakfast buffet had a variety of options to choose from, so there was something for the whole family. We enjoyed spending time in the pool and there was also a great mini bar in our room. The only minor drawbacks were the lack of a heated towel rail in our room and the pool being a bit too cold. However, these did not detract from our stay. We were also charged for mini bar items that we had not used which was resolved quickly and without fuss when we raised it with reception. We would definitely book Hotel Miramar Barcelona GL again, but perhaps just two rooms this time!
Brilliant stay at Hotel Miramar Barcelona GL. We had a wonderful room, with the most gorgeous views of the city and the ocean. We made use of the spa facilities and the swimming pool, which were both clean and inviting. The restaurant was a true highlight - the salmon tartar was delicious and the pork cheeks were tender and succulent. Our desserts were a real treat - freshly made strawberry shortcake and tiramisu left us completely satisfied. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the value for money was amazing. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a luxurious stay, especially with the current discounts available!
