⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great location, felt safe as a group of young women. ? Lovely room but lacked some basic amenities. Had to pay a deposit for a kettle (€20) and no mugs were provided. ? Nowhere to put bags or hang jackets. ?? These small additions would make this one of the best hotels I've stayed at for a city break.
I had the pleasure of staying in Barcelona, and I specifically wanted a hotel close to Las Ramblas. This location was perfect, just a side street away, and within walking distance to the Gothic Quarter. The rooms were lovely and tidy, creating a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast selection was just the right amount, not overwhelming but enough to start the day off right. Overall, this city was absolutely fabulous and I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again without hesitation.
This hotel was a fantastic choice for my trip to Barcelona. It may not have been considered a luxurious 5-star hotel, but it definitely deserves 5 stars for what it offers. The location was unbeatable, just a minute away from the bustling Ramblas street. While there were some homeless people nearby, they didn't linger at the hotel entrance. As with any city, one must expect some presence of poverty, but it wasn't a bother at all. Plus, being so close to a popular tourist spot comes with the possibility of pickpocketing, but that's just part of the busy city life. The rooms were modern and clean, and the continental breakfast had a good selection, including scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon. For those expecting a traditional English breakfast, I must remind you that you're in Catalonia, and it's only natural to be served local cuisine. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, especially for the unbeatable location.
During our recent stay at a hotel in Barcelona, we were immediately hit with a strong smell of sewage upon exiting the elevator. Unfortunately, the unpleasant odors didn't stop there. Our room was also filled with a musty, damp scent, making the hotel feel unclean. We had paid extra for a room facing the square, but this turned out to be a mistake as there was a lot of noise from homeless individuals who often occupy the space. Fortunately, the police arrived while we were writing this and the situation was resolved. Although homelessness is a widespread issue, it was not what we had in mind when choosing a hotel. It was also disappointing to find out that there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room and that we had to pay an extra €20 deposit to use a kettle. This is the first time we've encountered such a policy in all our years of traveling. In addition, the kettle itself was dirty and required a thorough cleaning. The walls of the hotel were thin, and we could hear everything from the suitcases being dragged in the room above us to the voices of our neighbors. Overall, our stay was disappointing and we would not recommend this hotel when there are plenty of nicer options nearby.
The hotel we stayed at was conveniently located near La Rambla and Mercado de La Boqueria. Our triple room on the top floor was cozy and beautifully furnished, with good wifi and water pressure. However, we were able to hear noise from other guests and the street, which was a downside. I wouldn't suggest their buffet breakfast as there are many delicious options in the surrounding area, such as the amazing bakery across the street. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we would consider returning.
