This hotel was in a great location for a short trip! Everything you could need from sightseeing, restaurants, bars, shopping, and even the beach were all nearby and easily accessed by foot. However, it's important to take extra care to guard belongings as there can be a lot of unsavory types in the area.
This place is situated near a variety of attractions including restaurants, the Barcelona on/off tour bus stop, shopping, La Bouqueria, and the beach (which is not too far away). The Catalunya metro station is also very close. The hotel provides a hearty breakfast which is excellent. The only thing that was a bit strange was that the front door required a card key to open, which you only get at check in. It works but it's definitely unusual. There is a small roof bar with a great view of the sunset. On Thursday May 11, we were up there enjoying the beautiful sunset when the bartender suddenly decided to close. He was very rude and asked everyone to leave. It was shocking and all the customers were in disbelief. I mentioned it at the reception and they were quite concerned and displeased. Despite this incident, I would still give this hotel a 5 star review as all the other staff were very friendly and helpful.

Staying in the heart of Barcelona is a great tourist experience. There are some security measures in place, such as ringing in. The main road is full of vendors and the market. It is important to double-check the location of your room. Our first room was facing the main street, with an incredible view, but it was very loud at night due to people talking and cars. This room also had stairs, which could be challenging. The windows were classic, so soundproofing would be necessary. Fortunately, Javier was able to help us and changed our room. The new room was on an upper floor, facing the back, and was much quieter. It also had a beautiful view. Each room has a small refrigerator, but no microwave. It would have been nice to have a king bed, rather than two single beds put together, which we eventually upgraded to. The breakfast was great, but it would have been nice to see some variation in the food choice after a few days. Pictures of the rooms are available, but double-checking is recommended as some are old and some are new. Unless you want to stay in the party rooms facing the street!
If you're looking for a central spot in Barcelona, this is ideal. Located right in the heart of Las Ramblas, a two-minute walk to bars, restaurants and city tour buses, plus a slightly longer stroll to the Marina. We visited back in 2018 and it definitely met our expectations - would go back in a heartbeat.
This hotel was the perfect choice for our stay in Barcelona. It was conveniently located near the Boqueria market, and the breakfast selection was excellent. We took advantage of it every morning before heading out for sightseeing.
