We recently stayed at an incredible hotel in Barcelona. The staff was extremely welcoming and the accommodations were spotless and cozy. The eateries were delicious and the rooftop bar was a great spot to hang out! Plus, there's a wonderful district just a few blocks away where you can ride bicycles provided by the hotel.
The Hoxton, Poblenou is a nice hotel with great employees, however the experience is different than the Hoxton locations in London or Paris. It's located further away from the city and is quite pricey, charging for everything, even if you are already a customer. I can say that I had my fill--once is enough for me--and I won't be returning.
I had the most incredible stay at this stunning hotel. My partner proposed to me on the rooftop and the staff went out of their way to make it a truly special moment. The rooms were lovely and I could happily spend all day by the rooftop pool.
We had such high hopes when we saw the photos online, and our expectations were not met. The location is the worst you can find in Barcelona - it's not a great area and it would take 20 euros for a taxi to get somewhere worthwhile. The staff are clearly untrained and the pool staff are rude. The rooms are very small and they smell like sewerage. We definitely did not get our money's worth. In general, we were deeply disappointed by this whole experience.
This hotel was situated in a unique part of town, just a bit further away from the city centre. The design was really stunning and the staff were incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel was busy due to conferences being held in the area, which meant that the rooftop pool and bar couldn't be enjoyed. However, the accommodation was exceptional and the staff were always willing to help.
