Excellent location and accommodation. The restaurant served delicious food. The evening social event with complimentary wine and appetizers was a nice touch. However, the room size was not ideal for a couple with luggage and lacked a closet. But, the attentive service from Cristina made all the difference and resolved any issues.
During our recent trip to Barcelona, my spouse and I were fortunate enough to spend four nights at a wonderful hotel in the Gothic District. We were blown away by the exceptional hospitality, which surpassed anything we have experienced at various five-star properties across the US, Canada, and Mexico. From the moment we arrived on a Sunday, Eduardo warmly welcomed us and took care of our luggage as we checked-in. He even made sure our room was stocked with water and coffee, and informed us about the Hotel Happy Hour at 6:30 PM. Although the Rooftop Bar was still serving brunch, we decided to check it out and were delighted by the stunning views of the Gothic District. The staff, particularly Anna and the bartender (apologies for forgetting his name), went above and beyond to make our experience truly special. As the famous Boqueria Market was closed, Eduardo suggested 7 Portes for delicious paella, which turned out to be a fantastic recommendation. We also asked for a good spot to try churros and he directed us to Granja la Pallaresa, just a short walk from the hotel, where we had the most amazing churros. I must mention the remarkable housekeeping staff as well, who ensured our room was always pristine and well-stocked with amenities. Marie and the entire 2nd floor team were always friendly and helpful during our interactions. It was disappointing to have only four days in Barcelona, as we wished we could have stayed for another week. This has definitely been one of the best hotels we have had the pleasure of staying at, and the service was simply outstanding. The hotel itself is fantastic, with a convenient location in the Gothic District making it easy to explore the city on foot. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Barcelona.
My wife and I had a great stay at this lovely hotel. We loved the location, just five minutes from Placa Catalunya, making it easy to find restaurants, join tours, hop on the subway or use the Hop-on Hop-Off bus. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always looking for ways to be of service - a real highlight! Breakfast was another bonus, with a large buffet plus the chance to order eggs and other dishes. The room was also very nice, with a great bathroom, all kept spotlessly clean. Plus, the building itself had a special atmosphere as it was older but had been transformed into an incredible place to stay. We would highly recommend this hotel, especially for its convenient location and wonderful service.
The staff at this particular hotel was outstanding, they were so warm and welcoming and could all converse in fluent English. This was spectacularly located, many of the tourist areas were within walking distance and the transport links to the airport and metro stops were close by. The interior was great, the furnishings were of a high quality. The ground floor bar was lovely and the bar on the rooftop terrace was breathaking and provided an amazing view in the evenings.
My second time at this hotel was amazing. The location in the Gothic section of Barcelona was amazing. It's close to Las Ramblas but tucked away in a quieter area, making it a great spot to relax. The staff was incredibly friendly. I also loved the rooftop bar area.
