The hotel we stayed at in Barcelona was a wonderful choice. The rooms were extremely cozy, the staff was always ready to assist, and the location couldn't have been better. We were able to walk to different dinner spots along La Rambla, giving us a chance to see the famed street at different times of the day. We also had one dinner at the hotel, and it was just as delicious as the restaurants we had tried outside. Their bar area was a great spot to mingle and meet new people.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Meridien Barcelona while on a trip to the city. The location of this hotel is perfect, situated right on La Rambla and close to many popular attractions, including the Gothic Quarter. If you have a car, the parking garage is just two doors down and the staff are quick to retrieve your vehicle when needed. However, the road is small and often crowded with taxis, making for a chaotic parking experience.

The rooms at Le Meridien are delightful and the breakfast spread is simply amazing. I must admit, the views from the hotel are nothing to write home about as it mainly overlooks the cityscape. The hotel remains bustling at night, so if you're a light sleeper, you may be bothered by the noise from the crowds. Thankfully, my room was located on the side and I had no issues with noise disturbance.

One thing that did disappoint me was the gym facilities. While it was passable, it wasn't great compared to other hotels I've stayed at. However, I must commend the hotel on their breakfast. It was absolutely fantastic and definitely worth the extra cost. If given the option between loyalty points and breakfast, I highly recommend choosing the latter. The breakfast options are endless, including some Spanish staples such as Spanish omelettes, quiche lorraine, and even chocolate croissants (which I know is more of a French delicacy, but we are close to the border). Overall, my stay at Le Meridien Barcelona was a pleasant one and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable stay in the heart of the city.

The transportation to and from the airport is quite effortless. Taking a cab will cost you around 35 euro. After enduring 3 long flights, I was ecstatic to finally arrive at my accommodation. It is situated on La Rambla, making it convenient to walk to various popular tourist spots before they get overcrowded. The Gothic Quarter, with its charming narrow streets, is also within reach. The hotel itself, while having a typical Marriott design with added Le Meridien touches, lacks authentic Spanish elements. Nonetheless, the room was spacious with a balcony, rain shower, and bathtub, comfortably accommodating 2 guests. The TV and wifi, however, were not up to par. Our breakfast experience was average, and the gym, although small, had all the necessary equipment and was never too busy. The front desk staff played the role of concierges, but their restaurant recommendations were not accurate. On the other hand, their suggestions for art galleries were spot on. Overall, while there were no major issues with the hotel, I personally would have preferred staying at a more independent or Spanish-inspired accommodation. In fact, my partner and I have decided to switch to one for the rest of our stay. Stay tuned for our next review...

Located just a short ride from the airport, our stay was made easy with a smooth check-in process and a spacious room. Unlike many other European hotels, our room was surprisingly large and impeccably clean. The comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. The hotel's proximity to las ramblas was unbeatable, with everything within walking distance. The staff were always friendly and helpful, even reminding us to keep our cross body bags in front of us to protect against pickpockets - a thoughtful gesture, especially in a city known for such incidents. The breakfast was delicious, offering a wide selection of food and freshly squeezed juices. Overall, a highly recommended stay.

This accommodation's setting is perfect. We had two separate stays in August 2023 and got to experience two distinct rooms; each was individually and thoughtfully designed, cozy, and had superb beds, cushions, and decor. The front desk team, workers, and supervisor were amazing. The eatery on the first level is terrific for a generous buffet breakfast and dinner from an excellent selection with views of La Rambla.
