I had been to this hotel twice before with satisfactory experiences, and yet this time was markedly different. Toiletries were not provided in the room, and after the cleaner came the keys were nowhere to be seen. Dirty glasses were left on the counter. On top of that the maintenance man unlocked our door without even knocking. The pool area, which was once so inviting, was murky and slimy. The staff at the front desk were helpful in the midst of our various grievances. Regrettably, I still have three nights here, but certainly won't be returning. It's a far cry from what is expected of a four-star hotel. The doorman is incredibly rude; we've nicknamed him the 'crabby doorman' due to his appalling attitude. All in all, not the greatest experience.
The location of this hotel is definitely a plus. But there are some areas that could be improved. The breakfast options lack vegetarian choices, so those looking for something else should take advantage of the other eateries nearby. Kudos to ? Steve who was always so friendly and welcoming during those mornings! ? It seems like the superior and basic rooms are quite similar, so it might not totally be worth it to pay extra for the superior one. The front desk staff could be more proactive and cheerful - some members looked rather glum and not very helpful ?. For example, they ordered a taxi for four people even when there were five of us, despite them knowing our group size ☹️. Despite having indicated in our reservation that we were celebrating special occasions, ?♀️ they weren't acknowledged during our stay. Also, sadly, there's no gym here. A three-star hotel, but it might be worth considering other, higher-rated ones. ?
This modern and stylish 4* Sup hotel offers an excellent breakfast and has a wonderful rooftop pool with stunning views of the Barcelona skyline. It's in a great location, within walking distance of the Old Town, The Rambla, Sagrada Famiglia and the beach. There are many delicious restaurants nearby, like Giorgio, and a popular local tapas bar. We had a fantastic time during our four-night stay.
This 4-star accommodation offered a great location in the city center of Barcelona. The hotel rooms were quite spacious and featured private bathrooms with amazing showers. We were a little surprised that they didn't offer coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms - something that is becoming increasingly common. There was also a wonderful swimming pool located on the top floor, where one could take a dip and order food. Breakfast had a good selection, however the orange juice was a bit too watery, a fresh version would have been much better.
Yesterday I had a special occasion to celebrate, so my partner and I decided to treat ourselves and booked a 4-star hotel at a hefty price. Upon arriving to our room we were planning to get ready for the party, but found out that the water from the shower was ice cold. We contacted the reception and were told that due to full occupancy we would have to shower on the roof of the pool. We paid over 250 dollars a night and were not given any alternative solution, causing us to be late to the party and feeling uncomfortable all evening. Even in the morning the reception manager (Mr. Adelquis Remon) offered no help or sympathy. We were extremely disappointed and would strongly advise against staying in this hotel if you expect decent service and working facilities.
