The most comfortable bed of our whole trip! But after that everything just lands a little flat. This hotel had a cool concept which matched the restaurant we all know and love (or hate). The touches were nice - sweet rice cookies on the bed when you check in, flip flops instead of traditional slippers, and an overall polish you get from a chain hotel. However, it lacked soul, creative flare, and it was not in a good neighborhood. The pool was SUPER tiny and not heated at all which was terrible in September when one cool breeze could chill you to your bones. The prices they were charging for food were way too high. It looks like they tried on a very surface level to make this hotel cool but it just looked like a reskinned Asian inspired Hilton. There are other hotels I’d recommend over this one in Barcelona with a better location, better service, and better food.
We booked a room with a unique feature. The room was brand new, squeaky clean, and had plenty of space. My kids were thrilled with the wooden bathtub that had a view of a church. The staff was welcoming and their English level was adequate. It took a bit of time to check in, but that's often the case with hotels.
Upon arriving at the reception desk after check-in time, there was a line of 8 people waiting to check in with only two staff members present. Despite waiting patiently, I still had to wait around 20 minutes to be checked in. Furthermore, I was surprised to be asked for a deposit, something I've never encountered before. Our room had a lovely view, however the windows were too dirty to take pictures. After going out and about, the phone in our room and the TV were dead. We asked the front desk the next morning why a maintenance man was sent at 12:30 am to fix the TV, yet they had no explanation. As of our last night here, the TV, phone and room service are still unavailable. For what was expected to be a higher end hotel, their customer service and maintenance of the building were sub-standard.
This is an excellent luxury hotel located about 20 minutes walk from the Santa Barcelona. There is a train station immediately across. Everything about this place was impressive, from the very friendly staff at the entrance on front desk through to the excellent quality of the restaurant upstairs on the 21st floor. This one does tick all the boxes. The decor is particularly pleasing and very well done. Our room was well, equipped, clean, and the bed extremely comfortable. Highly recommend it.
I had an amazing stay at a certain hotel in Barcelona! The bed was incredibly comfortable, I could've stayed in it all day ?. The room service burger was ? out of this world. I had a great week here, the only downside was the location - it's quite a distance from the attractions ? but very close to the train station ⚡️. All in all, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it! ?
