This fourth stay at a Room-Mate Hotel was just as wonderful as the previous ones. Everything was high quality, with the latest in tech offerings, and the service at the hotel was extraordinary. There were many services provided, and the breakfast was fantastic. I'm excited to see which countries they expand to in the future; I can't say enough about how great the breakfast was!
I used a promocode for a longer than two night stay with a free breakfast, but when I used it through their website, the charge for breakfast was still included, making the rate more expensive. When I spoke to the hotel’s front desk, they showed no interest in helping, just said they had no information about it and could only give me the full rate. When I called the reservation office, the agent said there was an issue with the website and she could honor the offer with the 15% discount and breakfast included, but I had to wait for a confirmation e-mail and respond to it with my card details as she couldn't take it over the phone. When I didn't receive the e-mail, I contacted them again, and they said the price wasn't available anymore and couldn't honor it, even though it was their fault. On top of that, my e-mail containing all the details about the situation went unanswered. Overall, it was a terrible experience and I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here.
This hotel was wonderful - great location, comfortable room, and friendly staff. The rooftop pool was a great spot to relax and take in some sun. We had a wonderful stay in our spacious room that overlooked a tranquil courtyard, making it a peaceful sanctuary. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, providing plenty of hot and cold food options. A special shout out to the staff member, Rjy, who was so helpful when it came to making restaurant reservations. All in all it was a memorable stay, and we felt like we were at home for the week!
The people at check in were friendly and hospitable! We missed out on our complimentary cava on arrival, but had a chance to enjoy it another day! We were treated to a free upgrade with a king size bed in a room with a balcony and a great shower. The tap water was safe to drink, and thankfully there was plenty of storage for our luggage! We were lucky enough to score a 40% discount on Expedia, too. All in all, an incredibly enjoyable stay that I would rate pretty highly - even featuring a rooftop pool with a bar to relax by!
I stayed at Room Mate Gerard and it was a great experience. The staff is really friendly and helpful, and are always willing to give advice. The breakfast was really tasty and there were plenty of options - and even some traditional Catalan dishes! The room was comfortable, quiet and nice. The street it's on is very peaceful, so I had a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great stay in Barcelona.
