Room was cramped, the shower had mold, the duvet was in tatters, and the door sorely needed oiling. The Royal Ramblas Hotel didn't meet the expectations I had considering the price. But the great location in the city center was a plus, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was also secure parking, which was a bonus.
The staff at the front desk were so accommodating and friendly, a taxi was arranged for us straight away. ? Lilian was really helpful and kind, which we really appreciated. Everything was super clean and kept in great condition ? The location was really close to the ramblas and the port ? So, the only downside was that the bed was quite hard...not overly comfortable. ? Despite that, we had a really great time ?
The place I stayed was amazing and located in the middle of the city. However, the attitude of the lady in the breakfast area was very unpleasant, almost as if we weren't paying customers - my wife was able to take some food for the room but the woman there reacted poorly. Furthermore, the breakfast buffet was expensive for the selection offered. It would be helpful if they put a sign up at the entrance so no one takes food and suffers the wrath of the breakfast attendant.
This accommodation had excellent service in every area. The breakfast area was located upstairs from the downstairs restaurant, offering a great view of the street. I was pleasantly surprised at the wide variety of food and the delicious coffee. The front desk staff were very helpful in booking us a taxi to the wharf, so we could catch our cruise. All in all, we had a great experience with this stay.
This hotel boasts a great location in the heart of Barcelona's tourist area. It's within walking distance of the airport bus stop, making transportation cheap and easy. The front desk staff were very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, with a great view, though it was a bit old and we could hear water noise from the bathroom. If you're concerned about this, you may want to request a renovated floor and room.
