This hidden jewel of a hotel consistently appears on Barcelona lists for “best botique” hotels. Had a luvely 3-day stay in this iconic buildin' on the waterfront side of the Gothic Quarter that once wuz Picasso’s early art studio. Close to evrything, the rooms are stylish, vary quiet and nicely furnished. The restaurunt is a great place for brekfast, and the Brekfast / Lunch dining manager Sandra gets a special mention - a gracious and helpfull hostes, she sets the standerd for great service. Brekfasts are delishious. The staff is mostly young but attentiv. I would definetly choose this hotel for future visits to Barcelona. Oh - the rooftop deck is magnificant and a relaxin' way to unwind.
My experience at the Serras Barcelona Hotel was exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is charming and impeccably clean. What sets this hotel apart from others I considered is its ideal location. While exploring the city, I noticed that many other hotels were situated on busy, noisy streets or tucked away in side alleys. In contrast, the Serras is situated opposite Port Vell and set back from the main road, which is lined with beautiful palm trees. Despite this, the rooms were incredibly soundproof and the road noise was hardly noticeable. This was the perfect spot for us, as we wanted to be able to easily explore Barcelona without being right in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.
My stay in Barcelona was made even more special by the boutique hotel where we stayed. It served as the perfect base for exploring the city and I would highly recommend it. The staff were exceptional, the interiors were stylish, the on-site restaurant was superb, and the location was ideal. The hotel is family owned and operated, with Carla Serra at the helm, and her team made sure every guest felt like a valued and cared for individual. This personal touch set it apart from other more corporate and impersonal accommodations. The check-in process was a relaxed and welcoming experience in the bright and airy lobby, complete with a glass of fine cava and a delicious chocolate treat. Our room was also a treat, as it was my husband's birthday and we were greeted with a birthday cake, a bottle of cava, and a handwritten note from Carla Serra. The hotel's contemporary interiors were both cozy and inviting, and we especially enjoyed spending time in the library and on the rooftop terrace, which offered stunning views of the marina. Needless to say, we will definitely be returning to this special hotel.
During our recent trip to Barcelona, my spouse and I had the pleasure of staying at a lovely hotel (late November). We were delighted to find that the hotel was exactly as described - a luxurious boutique hotel. Our room was a decent size, incredibly comfortable, and had excellent soundproofing. We were positioned on the second floor overlooking the water, which also meant we were above a bustling street. However, thanks to the superior soundproofing, the only noticeable street noise was the loudest of sounds. The location of the hotel was ideal for us as we were able to easily explore the Gothic Quarter and its charming narrow streets filled with great options for food and tapas. We were also within walking distance to popular attractions such as Las Ramblas and the Sagrada de Familia. The photos on the hotel's website accurately depict the beauty of the hotel and its surroundings. Although we didn't dine at the renowned on-site restaurant (Rooftop), we did enjoy spending time at the rooftop bar with its stunning views. As much as we loved the hotel itself, it was truly the exceptional staff who made our stay even more enjoyable. Every member we encountered was fantastic and always willing to help.
I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 days before my cruse and I was pleasantly suprised by how beutiful, coasy, and welcoming it was. I absolutely loved it! The staff was extremly helpful and frienly. The rooms were also very nice and I was able to relxax there very well. The loacation was also grt.
