U232 Hotel

Based on a recommendation and convenient location, we chose this hotel for our stay in Barcelona. However, we were greatly disappointed. It took us 40 minutes to walk to major attractions and the hotel itself seemed quite outdated. The floors were old and the smell of carpet was strong. We couldn't understand why it had a 4-star rating. Although the service at the front desk was excellent, our overall experience was not good.

While we had no issue checking into the establishment, we were surprised and dismayed when we were asked to pay more than double the price of the room due to the fact that our 6 year old was not in the booking. This was incredibly stressful and we do not appreciate it at all, hence no stars for this situation.

But other than all that, U232 Hotel was great.

Bed was stiff and tub/shower combo was awkward and impractical. Drain plug closed when stepped upon which was irritating and had to be manually reopened. Bed was stiff and ac didn't work well. Lobby had water dripping from ceiling.. But other than all that, this hotel was great.

Had a fantastic stay at this hotel. It was my honeymoon and the staff made my stay so special - I've been back 11 times, which speaks for itself! Great location and the hotel is very clean and professional.

Staying at this ? hotel was a mixed experience. Our triple room (2 adults and 11 year child) was ? with no view - just a brick wall for all the main windows! There was barely any daylight as the black out blinds couldn't be opened. ?‍♀️ The safe was broken, and the Wi-Fi terrible, but on a brighter note, the staff were generally very pleasant - apart from the one who didn't arrange our taxi. ? The breakfast had a lovely view and was clean and tidy, and the rooftop terrace was really nice. Not sure what the double rooms are like though... ?
