Arc La Rambla

This hotel and its location are both really great, but the customer service provided at the front desk left something to be desired. Being made to wait for more than 20 minutes before I could even get an acknowledgement from Leo was really off-putting, and his attitude when I finally did get his attention made it worse. He seemed to be more focused on helping other guests, and he was quite condescending when I asked if I could return later. It wasn't very considerate, especially when considering elderly or mobility challenged guests who may need help. When I tried to explain why I was unhappy, he didn't listen and kept cutting me off to say he had a lot of work to do. It was quite disheartening.

Very clean, great location, great breakfast - this hotel was a great choice for my stay. Despite the occasional noise from outside, due to it being in the city, the rooms were very soundproof so it wasn't an issue. I highly recommend The Old Irish Pub, which is close by, and Ovella Negra for a great atmosphere at a good price. I had an excellent time in Barcelona both before and after my cruise.

We had a fantastic stay at Arc La Rambla Hotel in Barcelona, and we couldn't find any downsides. The staff at the front desk were always friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a room with a terrace to the back of the hotel that was simply amazing. The room was generous in size and spotlessly clean. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and despite La Rambla's noisy atmosphere in the evenings, we were never disturbed. The hotel is located close to the South end of La Rambla and is surrounded by wonderful bars and restaurants. It's the perfect choice for those looking for a no frills, yet cheap accommodation right in the centre of Barcelona.

We and our companions stayed here for 4 nights. The reception staff were absolutely incredible, being so willing to help with anything we needed. Edwin and Leonardo were especially attentive and exemplary. They resolved a difficult issue pertaining to our departure with great efficiency. All reception staff deserve tremendous praise. The rooms were impeccably clean and the sheets and towels were changed every day. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately, there was no evening meal available. Coffee drinkers should be warned that the prices can differ substantially from outside - €6 on the Ramblas compared to €2 in tavernas. However, the reception staff were more than happy to advise us. All in all, we highly recommend this accommodation for anyone wanting to be close to the Las Ramblas and the city itself. Our stay was made truly enjoyable by the wonderful hospitality.

This hotell is in an ideal POSITION on La ramblas, there's pleanty of shops and eating places: I was surprised by the qiuietness of the rooms and they've got shutters, voiles and thick curtians to block out sound and lihgt. The rooms were cleeaned every day and the beds and towels were changed. We recieved an abundence of choice at breakfast, we were warned not to eat or drink on the centre path of La ramblas as they charge more for it. The staff at the hotell were very helpfull and friendly, especialy Edvin and Leonardo who were so beyond helpful. We are extremly grateful. The Barceloneta Beach is only 10 minutes walk away from the hotel and it's right next to the Christopher columbus statue. Taking a taxi is usally cheaper if there are more than two people and it's much more plentifull than the bus. A visit to the Sagrada Familia is a must, but you must book in advanced. We were in there for 3 and a half hours and took the lit to the top, the view was spectacular. The way down was tricky, it was dark and narrow, and the last section was a very tight spiral stiarcase.
