I stayed at Arc La Rambla recently and the experience wasn't great. Not only was the bar downstairs practically in the hotel, but it was so loud until the early hours chanting for the football - like they were using broom sticks to make noise. The 'balconies' were actually just windows which did nothing to reduce the noise from the street. The beds were also very stiff, on top of the fact that the rubbish collection was also at midnight on Thursday which kept us awake. The women at the reception were extremely rude when we checked in and asked about tickets to some attractions, whereas the male staff were very attentive and helpful. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Arc La Rambla for a weekend getaway and were impressed with the area - it’s right in the heart of La Rambla and can easily be reached on foot from the many restaurants and attractions nearby. The welcome, however, was lukewarm and the air conditioning simply could not be adjusted to a comfortable temperature. We were freezing both nights, and ended up having to sleep in our clothes and coats on top of the bedding provided. Even worse, we were kept awake by the noise of the nearby restaurants until late into the night. The suite we stayed in, which had a hallway bathroom, bedroom, and sitting room with access to a balcony, was nice enough, but the overall experience was just too unpleasant to make it enjoyable. We had a great time in Barcelona otherwise, but the Arc La Rambla just ruined our stay.
This is our second time staying at Arc La Rambla and again, it's mainly due to the amazing location. This time we opted for an inside room - it was great, and very quiet, but unfortunately there wasn't much natural light, as few of the walls face the outside. The hotel provided us with a kettle upon request, which was a nice touch. The only downside were the pillows - two were too high and one was too thin. But overall, it was a great stay, and we're already looking forward to coming back next year!
She was appalled with our request and said it was a “basic rule” of Barcelona to not use Cabify and we were stupid to even ask. Needless to say, we left stunned.
This hotel was truly a great place to stay: it was clean and centrally located on La Rambla. In general, the staff at reception was absolutely amazing, but unfortunately that was not the case on our last morning. On 26 Jan 2023, when we asked a woman at the desk about taxi services to get to the airport, she came to the street to assist and communicate with the driver. She advised it would be a metered price, but we explained we'd prefer to use Cabify. This made the young taxi driver turn and hurl, appalled with our request and said it was a “basic rule” of Barcelona to not use Cabify. It was a shocking and unpleasant experience that deteriorated our impression of the hotel and left us stunned.
I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and it felt like a home away from home. The room we were given had been adapted for wheelchair access, plenty spacious and with all the necessary amenities. The beds were comfortable and the silence of the hotel allowed to sleep very well through the night. Room service was immaculate and very professional and the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. We were even given a kettle and cups in the morning for hot drinks. We didn't book for breakfast but will definitely do so next time as the overall experience was so great. The hotel is located on the Rambla with really good connections to the city so this definitely rates highly for convenience. I can honestly say that I would definitely recommend this hotel and would come again! Thanks again to all the staff members for making our stay so pleasant!
