A just renovated modernist building, Catalonia Catedral Hotel is located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona (Barri Gotic). The hotel is by the Cathedral, Plaça Sant Jaume and the unavoidable shopping street of Portal de l’Àngel. After a day of shopping or cultural visits you will need nothing else that your new room with big shower. You can also enjoy a drink in the lobby bar or the international cuisine in the hotel restaurant even though we recommend other restaurants in Barcelona.

We spent a long weekend in the begging of September in Barcelona and were delighted to stay at an accommodation located in the prime spot of Gothic Quarter! Everything was on our doorstep, from sightseeing, to shopping, to La Ramblas and amazing bars and restaurants! The hotel was beautiful and the staff absolutely brilliant! They made sure that our check in went smoothly and all our needs were met. The rooms were clean, beds comfy and a decent size all in all. On top of that, we also had the privilege to enjoy a wonderful pool and pool area on the upper deck.
Out of all the staff we encountered, we want to give the biggest props to Tino, the pool bar tender. Firstly he is the most kindest, most polite person. Not to mention he made the most exquisite cocktails and made sure our group didn’t go without a thing! He really looked after us and made our stay there fab! We were a group of 6 cousins having a holiday in Barcelona and found ourselves rushing back to the pool area just so we could hang with Tino and have a blast!
We want to thank Tino and the entire staff at this accommodation for making our stay there so pleasant. We will definitely be back!
The staff here was fantastic, catering to our every need! We felt very secure. The pool was superb and the rooms were of high quality. Location was perfect, so close to all the attractions. We spent a week enjoying everything the hotel had to offer, and the bathroom had a luxurious rainshower. An amazing stay - thank you!
This hotel was fantastic! The breakfast was great and the location was perfect. Plus, the rooftop pool with its bar service was excellent! We especially want to highlight the staff who were incredibly helpful and sympathetic to us after our bags and passports were stolen. A special thank you goes out to Ferran, Honey, and Miriam.
This accommodation was situated in the perfect spot. Staff were very beneficial and pleasant. The beds were really comfortable. We didn't make use of the pool, though the area seemed nice and had a bar. I would definitely be returning to stay there for my impending trip to Barcelona.
The rooms were large and comfortable, but the staff weren't too friendly. I returned home from a exhausting day trip at 11pm and requested something be brought up to the room, which the receptionist said was impossible. The Wi-Fi connection was terrible, the towels were worn and not comfortable, and the daily clean up of the room was unsatisfactory. There was no swimming pool or sauna to enjoy. In addition, you needed to leave the premises and locate a taxi from the main street. The price was not worth it.
