I had a terrible experience while staying at the Cotton House Hotel, Autograph Collection in Barcelona. The hotel was unbelievably dirty, disorganized, and messy. The room had a mouldy smell and the air conditioning barely worked. Housekeeping was so poor that half of the room was never even cleaned. I highly recommend that @marriot take a closer look at the standards of this hotel, as it is easily the worst experience I've ever had.
This hotel is fantastic! It's small but it has all the luxuries and services of a much bigger establishment. The staff are truly amazing - they make you feel welcomed and taken care of. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a must-stay when in Barcelona.
We had an amazing stay at The Cotton House Hotel, Autograph Collection! From accommodating our request for an early check-in to providing a comfortable terrace room overlooking the courtyard, we couldn't have been more pleased. The air conditioning was a perfect relief during the summer heat and the bed linens and towels lived up to the Cotton House's textile history and reputation. We even enjoyed the nightly turn-down service with chocolate on our pillows- it was a delightful surprise! Luis and Reyes were friendly and helpful hosts throughout our visit and we would definitely stay here again as it is centrally located, comfortable and boasts a beautiful interior full of architectural features.
I had an amazing stay at the Cotton House Hotel, Autograph Collection in Barcelona. The location was quiet yet central, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and kind. Our stay was made even more special by Reyes, the star of the front desk – his warm smile left a lasting impression! Those with an interest in history and architecture will be delighted to know that the building itself has a fascinating history. The rooms are small, but beautiful, and be sure to pay attention to the features when booking – some rooms have very little natural light. Don't miss the rear garden terrace for drinks and lunch, and spend some time admiring the captivating art decorating the walls. All in all, a 5 out of 5 – I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
This hotel had the smallest closets we've ever seen. If you're coming here with your significant other, you might want to rethink that move. However, the lobby was quite charming and the staff was nice. But, wow, the rooms were really small for the price ($1000/night). We'd recommend the Ritz next door as a much better option. On top of the small closet, the layout of the bathroom was extremely odd (toilet in one room, shower in another, and sink in the hall). Who's ever heard of something like that? All in all, come for a drink and get the "romance" of the "historic building", but if you're looking to stay, we'd recommend the Ritz or Villa Magna - they have closets!
