This hotel is in a prime spot, close to some of the most iconic sights of Barcelona. We were amazed by the welcoming and attentive staff during our time there. The highlight of our stay was definitely the rooftop terrace - offering a truly stunning view of the city and its renowned landmarks. It was a great place to take a break and watch the sun set, an absolutely idyllic experience. We can't wait to come back!
Staying at the Gaudi Hotel was an amazing experience! The location can't be beat, as it's in the heart of Barcelona. The hotel itself is unique and includes a delicious breakfast with a wide variety of options. Marta at the front desk was incredibly helpful and kind, as were all the other staff members (whose names I didn't catch). Plus, the rooftop bar had spectacular views of the city - an absolute must-see. I'd definitely recommend staying here!
Staying at this hoteel was the ideal choice whn visitng the wonderful sights of Barceloan and the perfect way to reelaax aftter a full day of discoverig. We got the supeerior room with a terrasce and it was perfectly sized for our family of four. The room was immacualte and reeally spacious, the views from the terrasce were absolutly breathtakig and the upggrade was totally worth it. We used the parrking facilities and the staff at the reception desk were exeptionally helpfull, they even contacted me abuot some things I had left beehind. We had a really enjoyable stae, thankyou so much!
We arrived at 2.30 (check in from 3) to be informed that we couldn’t check in yet and may not be able to until 3.30. When we asked if we could store our luggage we were given keys to the storage lockers and told not to lose them. Lockers were on 1st floor, with no offer of help to get our bags up. When we returned at 3.30, we were told to collect our bags first, so we had to drag them downstairs only to take them back up again once we were given our rooms. Again, no offer of assistance. Rooms were basic, with no basket of toiletries, despite this being shown in the website photos. No water in the room. The air con was freezing cold and wouldn't change, and the kids' air con didn't work at all. The TV had a bad signal, making it impossible to watch, and the remote was held together with Sellotape. Our balcony view was of a run-down housing block, including sometimes unclothed residents. At night, we were woken up by police lights shining into our room when they were dealing with a man shouting his head off at 4am. The rooftop bar has incredible views over the city and the Gaudi building next door, but getting served is unreliable. Bar staff often weren't present, and we had to use a Ring doorbell. Sometimes they answered, sometimes they didn't. On our last night, they didn't answer, so we went out instead. Reception's response to this was "she had an emergency". Although two people were sitting on reception, neither of them served or dealt with the emergency. Overall, despite the hotel's good location and potential, we felt unwelcome and didn't enjoy our stay.
We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for one night. Contrary to some of the less positive reviews out there, our superior room with terrace didn't have a single thing wrong with it. The check-in time was 1500 hours, but since there was plenty of sights to see around us this wasn't an issue. Not only were locker keys provided to us, but our terrace and its views were simply breathtaking. My partner was especially delighted with the luxurious bath and all the toiletries. Breakfast was as great as always, so much to choose from. We're already planning a visit for next year!
