The accommodation appeared pleasant and boasted a well-stocked bar, however, my praise ends there. The reception consistently had a lengthy queue with only one staff member attending to guests. The breakfast buffet offered unappetizing scrambled eggs and mostly cold cuts, cheese, and fruit. The room was cramped and the bathroom had a peculiar half glass wall that failed to contain water from the shower. After each use, the bathroom floor would be flooded. Moreover, the hot water was only available half of the time. The elevators were sluggish and the one on the right had guests stuck inside on multiple occasions.
I recently spent two nights in a modern hotel in Barcelona. The room was lovely and the staff were friendly and informative, providing helpful advice on directions. The breakfast had a great variety of warm and cold options. We also had a tasty bar snack one evening. The highlight was the roof terrace, a perfect spot to soak up the warm sun and unwind. The hotel was conveniently located away from the busy area, with a 5-minute walk to the metro and a flat and easy walk to the seafront.
Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. The team members assisting us were incredibly kind, accommodating, and welcoming. The rooftop pool and bar were an absolute highlight, offering stunning views and top-notch service. The location was ideal, providing a peaceful atmosphere while still being conveniently close to transportation options. Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience and are already looking forward to returning.
My stay at the Golden Hotel Barcelona was satisfactory. The staff were extremely helpful and the location was convenient. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were kept clean. However, the one aspect that disappointed us was the air conditioning. It was not able to switch to cool as it was during the winter season, but unfortunately our room was still very hot and stuffy. The small window only allowed a slight opening, making it difficult to get any air circulation. Perhaps climate change played a role as it was unusually warm for February, but it would have been appreciated if the air conditioning could have been adjusted.
?? Not planning on returning
1) ? Employees lacking energy and "Yes, I can" attitude, more like ? than friendly staff
2) ? Renovations causing lots of noise
3) No effort to make up for the uncomfortable experience
4) Key card constantly deactivated, multiple trips to reception needed
5) Late check-out for 15€ (only 1 hour requested), even though hotel was completely empty (confirmed by night manager) ? Won't be staying here again, better to support hard-working family-owned COMSET hotels in the area.
