Golden Hotel Barcelona

The rooms and communal areas were very clean and the view from the rooftop pool was incredible! The decor also had some great eco-friendly touches. The location was decent, with the beach and city centre about half an hour away by foot and the metro station 10 minutes away. It's in an area undergoing redevelopment, but there are plenty of small shops and great restaurants within walking distance. On the downside, the staff were not very welcoming; the rooftop bar closed unexpectedly, and the downstairs bar staff were unwelcoming. Additionally, guests are provided only one free towel for the rooftop pool; for extra towels, a €2 charge applies, but this was not communicated to us.

This is a great and modern business-style hotel with spacious rooms, impeccable service and tasty breakfast buffet ?. Located east of many attractions, the area is pretty peaceful?, though not well-known for restaurants or shops. But it's not too far away from Glòries Metro and Bogatell Metro stations (4-6 blocks away) ?‍♂️, that can take you anywhere. Poblenou, with lots of bars and restaurants, is only 20 minutes away ? and Nova Icaria beach is a pleasant one-mile walk ?. Although we were too busy to check out the swimming pool or use the spa credit, it still offers great value for money ?. Unfortunately, the prices during F1 and Primavera Sound were a bit too high for us ?. Overall, a great option and we would certainly choose it in the future ?. 4/5.

We had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was neat, spacious and had all the necessary amenities including a safe, fridge and a kettle with tea/coffee/milk. Unfortunately, the tea/coffee/milk supplies were not replenished during our stay, so we only had enough for one drink each. It's placed a bit away from the downtown area so be prepared for a walk. There was a lovely rooftop pool to take a dip in, however, you weren't able to charge drinks to your room number which was a bit inconvenient. We had booked bed and breakfast but, due to an early departure time (5am), breakfast was not provided on our last day. This was very disappointing as we had to leave the hotel without being able to get a hot beverage. We would have bought our own but we kept hoping it would be refilled each day, yet it wasn't.

This place was absolutely amazing! Everything was so clean and modern - the pool and bar area, as well as the room, were spotless with fresh towels and linen changed daily. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the hotel provided everything we expected and more! Plus, it is a 20 minute walk to the beachfront. We highly recommend it!

This place was really great! The staff were incredibly helpful and the sustainability was top notch. We really enjoyed having a pool and jacuzzi on the roof, although the music from the speakers began to get a bit loud around 11am. The bedroom itself was very cozy and well designed, and the housekeeping staff did a wonderful job of freshening up the room every day. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and offered great value as well. We had a really easy journey to the hotel from the airport (Aerobus -> Metro -> 10 minute walk from Gloriés station). The location was perfect for exploring the city centre and Park Güell. We had a fantastic experience staying here and look forward to coming back in the future.
