Hesperia Barcelona Barri Gòtic

The receptionist was very welcoming and personable. The hotel was pleasantly quiet. The room and bathroom were both spotless. The bed was incredibly comfortable and adorned with crisp, perfectly pressed sheets. The pillows were nice and big. Each day, we were given a generous bottle of water, although there wasn't a fridge in our room. However, there was a safe available for use. The location suited us well as two adult males in town for a match, although it was on the outskirts of the less desirable Barrio Gòtic. If I were traveling with my wife, I would likely opt for alternative accommodations.

The location of this accommodation is ideal for tourists - it is just a short 5-minute walk from the nearest metro and conveniently close to both the waterfront and the historic Gothic quarter. The rooms are tidy and well-maintained, although they may feel slightly cramped for those with larger bags. My room had a charming balcony overlooking the bustling streets, perfect for people-watching. My only wish was for an in-room coffee maker. Do note, however, that there may be some disturbance from rowdy individuals outside during the night. The heating in the room worked effectively, but the TV did not. On the bright side, the shower had excellent water pressure. As a solo female traveler, I typically request a room on a higher floor for safety reasons. However, when I inquired about this, I was informed that there would be an additional charge for anything above the first floor. I ended up staying in the original room I was given, which was elevated above street level and ultimately not too much of a concern except for the noise.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hesperia Barcelona Barri Gòtic Hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, offering to take care of our suitcases on both arrival and departure. The room was spotless upon arrival and situated in an ideal location for sightseeing and exploring the beautiful city of Barcelona. We would happily stay again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the city. O'rourkes x.

We stayed 2 nights in July 16-17, 2023. The location was great as it was near many shops, the beach, Ramblas, Columbus and restaurants (within a walking distance). The staff were very helpful and friendly. We got a full-sized room and were surprised to find out that the bed was actually a king-sized one, very comfortable. The room may have been small but it was updated and looked good. The air conditioning was adequate, a bit warmer than we were used to, but no problem. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is a perfect place to stay if you want to be close to the heart of Barcelona. Located about 4 blocks away from both Las Rambla and the beach, it makes it really easy to get around ?️. Also, there are several nearby markets for food and drinks?. The rooms were very clean and had comfortable beds?️. The staff was also incredibly helpful and friendly?. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come back to Barcelona?.
