This hotel was an amazing place to stay! The position was superb and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were able to enjoy a 4 night stay after a suggestion from friends, and would highly recommend it to everyone. It was an A+ start to our holiday and we would definitely return.
This place is so amazing! The service was one of the best I've experienced. Relaxing atmosphere with spectacular decor, art, and cuisine. It's situated in an excellent spot in the Gothic Quarter. We will definitely be back! The staff was so hospitable and we were so glad to be there.
This hotel in the old gothic district is a real find! ? On our arrival, the street cleaner had to lead us to the place - all boarded up, it was a bit ominous! ? Walking in, however, was a revelation! ? It's gorgeous with a huge courtyard and built into the old walls - a mix of modern and classic style. ? The staff was gracious and helpful - truly lovely!? The room was nice and clean and had the same modern/old style like the lobby. ? We could hear the children from the school nearby early in the morning but there are plenty of inner rooms, just ask. ? When coming back tired and hungry, we tried out their tiny tapas bar and it was AWESOME! ? The olives were buttery, the wine perfect - it was so good that we decided to dine here one last night in the courtyard! ?️ In addition, the rooftop was lovely as well. We simply adored it. ? Gonna have to stay at the one in Seville when going back to Spain. ?
The Mercer Hotel Barcelona was a fantastic place to stay during our trip to Barcelona. The hotel was a perfect blend of modern and ancient elements and was conveniently located in the Gothic Quarter. We had a junior suite which was nicely laid out and the water pressure in the shower was great. The mini bar was re-stocked with complimentary flat and sparkling waters, Cokes and juices. The bed wasn't as firm as we prefer, but it was still comfortable. The staff are what really made our stay so enjoyable - they were attentive and nurturing and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. They greeted us when we entered and exited, they walked us to the pharmacy when we needed it and to the restaurant to make sure we had our reservation. When my partner got sick, they sent hot tea to the room and organised a doctor to visit within an hour of us calling. They even offered us a late check out when we had to extend our stay and change hotels due to my partner's illness. The Mercer Hotel Barcelona will have a special place in our hearts forever!
Visiting this ? hotel was an amazing experience! The premier room we stayed in, although ? expensive, was nicely equipped and had everything we needed. However, we noticed a few minor details that somewhat "ruined the party" ?. For instance, the shower floor was made of plastic strips that weren't secured and felt unsafe. Moreover, the metal framed bed squeaked loudly every time we moved. ? We also couldn't find any English-speaking channels on the TV, as it seemed to have no aerial or satellite dish connection. All options were internet based so if people don't have Netflix or Amazon Prime you're out of luck. ? Despite these minor issues, we had a great time and the staff were brilliant! ?
