My travel companions and I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel on multiple occasions. We have been consistently impressed with the exceptional service, prime location, and the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the staff. One of the highlights during our recent stay was the incredible personalized attention we received from Florencia and Janina. They went above and beyond by helping us arrange a local tour for our friends, even though they were not staying at the hotel. It was a true testament to the hotel's unwavering dedication to their guests. We have never encountered such remarkable hospitality before, and this experience further solidifies our loyalty to this establishment for life.
During our vacation in Barcelona, we were fortunate enough to stay in a charming hotel located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter. The attentive staff made sure that our first experience in the city was nothing short of fantastic by providing us with everything we needed.
The Mercer Hotel Barcelona is the only place I will ever book when visiting Barcelona. I have been a loyal guest for many stays and have never been disappointed. The rooms are stylish and incredibly comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. The hotel's incorporation of Roman walls adds a unique and charming character that I absolutely adore. The staff is always attentive and willing to assist with any needs. I appreciate the quiet and secluded location of the hotel, yet it is still within walking distance to all the sights and attractions. Every stay at the Mercer Hotel is worth it, without fail.
From start to finish, our experience and service were unparalleled. We had a delightful lunch at a charming restaurant, just like we did during our previous visit seven years ago. For our second night, we indulged in the delicious tasting menu at the hotel's restaurant. Our suite was where we got engaged on the first night, making this place incredibly special to us. The suite itself was breathtaking and the personal touches enhanced our holiday. We must give a special mention to the concierge team for their assistance with reservations, taxis, and suggestions for activities. The breakfasts were truly outstanding and the service was consistently exceptional. The rooftop bar and pool were also fantastic, and we were lucky enough to have the entire area to ourselves, even in late October. Additionally, the location was fantastic, as we were able to easily walk to most of the main areas and attractions. We especially appreciated being close to the marina, and we also loved exploring the historic El Gotic district.
Located in the heart of Barcelona's charming Gothic Quarter, this hotel is a true hidden gem. Nestled within the ancient Roman walls that once protected the city, the hotel offers beautiful rooms and a private central courtyard perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee. The breakfasts are truly magical, especially the fresh fruit salads. The staff is also incredibly helpful, many of whom speak English. Its convenient location allows for easy walking distance to numerous tapas places, restaurants, and galleries, all while taking in the stunning Gothic architecture and vibrant street art. Don't miss out on visiting the Picasso Museum and the MoCo nearby. A special thank you to Mauro at the front desk and Simone and Julia in the dining room. To top it off, the hotel's tapas bar, Le Bouchon, is excellent. Overall, our stay here in Barcelona was superb.
