Mercer Hotel Barcelona

During our stay, we were pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality and efficient service of the staff. The hotel's convenient location, just a short 15 to 20 minute stroll away from the historic sights and shopping areas of Barcelona, was a definite plus. A highlight of our experience was dining at their tapas bar "Bouchon," where we thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food.

My partner accidentally left behind her prescribed medication at our previous hotel in Sevilla. Given the severity of her health condition, it was crucial that she did not go a single night without it. Luckily, upon arrival at our current hotel on Saturday morning, the concierge, Mauro, was incredibly resourceful (and well-connected) in resolving this issue. His undivided attention and quick thinking truly saved our stay in Barcelona. A well-deserved 5-star service rating!

I had a wonderful stay at Mercer Hotel Barcelona. The location was superb, tucked away on a side street that provided a peaceful atmosphere. Although it may have been slightly difficult to locate at first, it was well worth the effort for a quieter experience. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, always going above and beyond to recommend and even accompany us to nearby restaurants. And let's not forget about the amazing cocktails and friendly staff at the hotel bar! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.

After much deliberation, we chose to stay in the Gothic Quarter during our trip to Barcelona. This area is bursting with charm and character, boasting a maze of narrow streets lined with charming restaurants and unique shops. Our hotel, nestled in one of these streets, seamlessly blends modern amenities with historic architecture, including a portion of the city's old walls. The location of the hotel was ideal, with a nearby metro station just a short walk away. We were also delighted to discover a beautiful rooftop terrace and pool. The staff at the hotel were incredibly professional and attentive, making us feel right at home. Our room was sleek and contemporary, with a remarkably cozy bed. However, we did notice a partition in the room that led to a small bathroom and closet area, which seemed a bit narrow. Additionally, there were some loose and wobbly tiles in the shower floor that should be attended to for safety reasons. Despite being warned about petty crime in Barcelona, we felt safe during our stay, as long as we remained cautious. Overall, our experience at this hotel was exceptional and added to our enjoyable trip to Barcelona.

My overall stay was fantastic from start to finish. The employees were warm and accommodating, always happy to assist. I received great assistance from the concierge team when it came to booking a tour and organizing transportation. The establishment and my accommodation were both luxurious and well-maintained. Every meal I had at the on-site restaurant was exceptional, both in terms of taste and service. I would highly suggest this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Barcelona.
