The staff friendly and polite.
The Occidental Diagonal 414 was a great stay! The room was big and bright and very clean and well equipped. The location was perfect for convenient access to the metro and other attractions in Barcelona. The only thing that could be improved was the breakfast, which lacked variety. In spite of this, the bed was very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Even being on the 6th floor, I could still feel the vibration of the subway running beneath the hotel, which was quite amusing! All in all, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay there again.
The staff at the Occidental Diagonal 414 were incredibly friendly and helpful. The reception provided a lot of useful recommendations and organized our airport transfer to the hotel. The room was spacious and modern, with a nice view of the city. We really appreciated the high standard of cleaning - the room was spotless! The location is also great, with nearby metro stations and walking distance to popular attractions like La Sagrada Familia, La Casa Mila, and the avenida diagonal. The breakfast was average and limited options were available for vegans/vegetarians. However, we were disappointed to find out that the rooftop terrace doesn't open until May and it wasn't mentioned on the website. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Occidental Diagonal 414.
The hotel location was superb, the staff friendly and the breakfast was great. Although, the downside of our stay was significant. Starting with the strange room layout, having the bathroom sink in the middle of the room and no door between the sleeping and bathroom area was uncomfortable. To make matters worse, there was no separate light in the water closet so anyone getting up to use it would have to turn on the bright overhead lights, disturbing their partner. The shower closet also lacked a hook to hang a towel, so you had to step out of the shower and over to the sink in the middle of the room to reach a towel. Finally, even though we chose a deluxe room with a nice balcony, the constant noise from the subway train running under our bed every ten minutes really spoiled the experience. All in all, a disappointing stay.
I was very pleased with my stay at Occidental Diagonal 414 - it was an excellent hotel with all the modern amenities that we were looking for. The breakfast buffet was truly something to behold - each morning had so many different options that it was hard to choose! The staff were warm and accommodating, and the price was right too. I was also very happy with the location, being surrounded by plenty of delicious, local restaurants and other attractions. All in all, it was an incredible stay. I highly recommend this hotel, it's definitely one of the best I've stayed in!
